Re: Show off your Tent/Shelter pr0n!

Love the looks and idea of a Hennesey Hammock...

How much do some of you HH lovers weigh, though? Though I'm doing decent at losing weight, I'm still up in the 260lbs mark, at 6'3 and curious how that'll work out for me.

Re: Southeast Louisiana chapter?

Ok, was hesitant when I first started poking around the forums, but damnit, this soon afterwards, and I'm in. I don't mind draggin' my truck across the Basin to BR, and even down to NO, to help with stuff over there, schedule permitting. I got a buddy who just moved to the Garden District who'd sure...

Re: Bow and Arrow Pulling Device Question

-never- heard of even a MENTION of them ever being illegal. ps: That woman is either a pro, has no idea what she is doing, or has brass mammaries... string+forearm=PAIN. When I was shooting regularly and doing competition, I never wore my arm guard, if that's what you refer to. I tried one for a whi...

Re: Pump action shotgun v semi-auto

Personally I'm not a fan of storing a round-chambered gun if it's so quickly loadable. A revolver would be different, to me, even with those quick loader things... but maybe that's me.. I've not used those quick loaders enough to be agile with them, heh. I leave my semi auto handgun with a full mag ...

Re: That's why I keep a machete in my garage

I got a chuckle out of this thread. Mostly from the people saying "awwww don't kill the snake!! That's mean, and doesn't need to die!!"... because most of them followed it up with "and they kill those awful mice and vermin!!!!" Twoface couldn't have been more bipolar in his behavior, folks. Good jo...

Re: Pump action shotgun v semi-auto

Pump, imo. Whoever said shotguns are limited in hunting or self defense needs their brains checked. Go get me a turkey with your AR/AK, plzkthnx. Oh, and btw, I expect you NOT to ruin the meat, k? Pump for simplicity. Semi-auto rifles versus manual-action rifles is not apples-to-apples in this situa...

Re: "The Road" - The bleakest Pulitzer winner ever

There were a few words that made me think "wow, I'll have to look that one up" I loved the phrase "intestate earth"; I had recently learned the meaning of the word intestate --to die without a will--and when I read it, I thought, "Perfect metaphor." Yea! That was one I thought that about with the p...

... to keep them from developing IBS and explosive diarrhea. I decided against buying one for this reason, and the one Towanda mentioned. It's like having a 20lb puppy that can climb walls and periodically becomes a shit-hose. Why prevent the explosive diarrhea? Seriously that sounds like all the m...

Re: "The Road" - The bleakest Pulitzer winner ever

I picked up the book after being repeatedly suggested to read it as people thought I'd like it... boy do some folks 'get' me. Though I bought it two days ago, started reading it around 9;30pm last night, and finished around 1;30am that same night (I could NOT put the bastard down) the book is still ...

jtnieman - South/Central Louisiana

Howdy. I've been reading the forums here off and on as specific topics came to mind. Buddy of mine pointed me to the site long while ago, and I've been lurking around from time to time ever since. Never had anything of worth to add, so never bothered signing up, but I've found myself visiting more a...
