Re: Evacuating the city: exit capacity and you

Oh man, I would be royally screwed. When hurricane Rita was about to hit, the traffic here was assfuckingbelievable. Took me two hours to move half a mile down the freeway. We finally said fuck it and headed back home. With beer. No evacuation for me. The Zero Arbitrage rule applies heartily when tr...

Re: What is most likely to end up serving as your HD gun?

I keep a .357 in the nightstand next to the bed, and a .38 in the end table next to the living room couch. Either of these would be the most likely candidate should a HD situation arise, as all the other weapons are unloaded and locked in a safe. As far as what I conceal in my keister...well, you wi...

Silentargus, that is a hell of a post. You are honorable for looking after your mother and for persevering. We all have a breaking point, and I am glad you reached yours and lived to tell about it.

nice! Know what kind of fish call that creek home? Thats not too bad of a drive for me. White bass run it in the spring, otherwise it's catfish, bluegills, and the occasional bass. Not much water in it now which makes for easy clay-gathering. -Blast thanks for the info. Im gonna google earth that b...

We used to smoke in our stands and never had a problem getting a deer. I guess it just depends on how the wind is blowing, or just how used to it the deer are. Honestly, youre probably right. I do some of that stuff just as superstition, in retrospect. Ive gone into the stand smelling like an armpi...

Beer Can Chicken

Just thought I would throw this one out here. It is a fairly common method of barbecuing/grilling chicken, and one of the best ways of doing so while ensuring that the bird is juicy and moist. The procedure is simple: first, get ahold of a whole chicken. Rub it down with a little vegetable oil and y...
