Re: Keltec's New Bullpup Shotgun

Appreciate all the pics JC and the time you're putting into all this. I can't exactly think of an application where I'd need 14+1 12 guage rounds, but for some reason I want it. Maybe because it's reminiscent of a streep sweeper in capacity, or the ingenious design of two tubes, or the bullpup type ...

Darkfather, I was tempted to reply to your posts line by line, but as I can see it would do absolutely nothing for your mindset, I'll pass. I will say that you've walked into a forum with 100's of military veterans and a vast majority of those that have had some type of combat experience. Not to men...

Re: Eureka Zeus 2 VS Eureka USMC Combat Tent?

I loved that USMC tent, I lived in one for quite a while myself. They're are pretty tough. Tough enough to flip end over end a few times with 2 Marines inside + all of our gear and weapons, and be staked right back down with no tears or broken poles. Yes, probably a fluke but it won me over. Fuckin...

Update on my Husky: Tyson has started filling out...well as much as a husky can fill out that is. He's up to 70 lbs, big for a husky. The underground fence has worked amazing the past 7-8 months or so. He's only ventured out once and that was due to trying to wire in a seperate area and something ha...

Re: Blade Modification Questions

The washer as a gaurd would be a little more difficult to affix, unless you get it welded on, not to mention wouldn't be very aesthetically pleasing if you care about that at all. Doesn't sound like it would be too comfortable either.

Re: Blade Modification Questions

Any hardware store would have them. A digital one is the cats meow, not that expensive either. Keep in mind if you go the solid stainless steel bar route you'll need to cut the bar to form the curve you like. Make sure the steel is soft, or annealed or you wont be able to cut or sand it. A bastard f...

Re: Blade Modification Questions

Can you measure the tang with a micrometer? Then you can buy a solid stainless steel guard, probably cheaper that way. Drill a few holes to open it up then use a small diamond saw to exact it to measurements. Finish off with sandpaper going up in grit until you reach the finish you like..

Love this thread, it has an interesting mix of badassness that is the truck, general impressive mechanical knowledge, humor, and hockey pucks. If I didn't already have a truck I'd be searching out one of these bricks.

Re: List your other weapons, and their pros/cons

I have a khukri, from Nepal. Great chopper, came with a convex edge (my favorite edge type) Great steel, holds an edge very well.

Cons: Large, old style belt loop sheath limits carry options

Cons: It's not a gun

I am in solidarity w/ Occupy Dayton and I have been warned that we are in the wake of nuclear war... I am inquiring about refuge somewhere that may not be in the crossfire... Any knowledge??? Not sure if serious? What basis do you or your fellow occupiers have to believe nuclear war is coming? With...

Re: Glock Suppressed SBR

I don't understand the point of this post, it seems the OP asked for opinions on a build, recieved those opinions and then argued against every one of them. Some guys here have actually OWNED some of the items in question, they've said they're flimsy/cheap, get stuck/hard to operate, could break and...

Re: defenses against getting "sniped" during the PAW

In a life or death situation where the situation suddenly and unexpectedly presents itself, people will do one of three things: 1. They will panic. 2. They will complete the last task they were doing before the situation presented itself. Or: 3. THEY WILL DO WHAT THEY WERE TRAINED TO DO. Just an ob...

Re: Part of my collection...

I agree, clarification is needed. If you mean you havent trained much with a firearm, and you have trained quite a bit with a hawk, so you feel more comfortable using it... makes sense. Although I'd give the advice to buy a reliable semi auto 9mm and get basic safety lessons. That's far more effecti...

Re: defenses against getting "sniped" during the PAW

If you're getting sniped, by an actual sniper, there is no defense. They are the most patient, intelligent, skilled soldiers that the military has to offer. Some SEAL's may disagree I'd imagine. My point is that if you've done something to be targeted by a sniper, your only option is counter sniping...

At first this was so overwhelming. I've never played an RPG game in my life, and I was a tad confused when I started! Now I'm level 14 or something and pretty much just kick ass. A dragon swooped down in front of me earlier today, and unlike when it first happened where my character peed himself a l...

Re: Time for a new(er) vehicle

Every Audi I have worked on newer than 2001 takes premium fuel. You might be able to get away with mid-grade, but that really depends on your altitude and driving habits. What an earlier poster said about doing the maintenance yourself is actually NOT true. Yes, aftermarket parts can lower the cost...

Re: On Snipers and Sniping

It's all semantics, this issue it seems. Long range shooting, precision shooting, whatever the person wants to call it, besides the term sniping. Sniping to me infers a skillset learned by a few well trained professionals to gather information, kill an enemy combatant, or both, and to do your best t...
