Re: Hello from Japan

Thanks Sergeant. I'm from Michigan but I've been living in Okayama, which is between Hiroshima and Osaka, since '94. Have you ever been here? No I havent yet. I've been to lots of different countries and Japan is the country I've wanted to visit since I was a child. I have always been drawn to thei...

Re: How to double your food supply at minimal cost

I think the OP has made a great point here. I have 15 pounds to lose myself. But quitting smoking is number 1 on my list, and so I've heard you'll gain weight during that.... so I'm gonna take one at a time, first stop smoking, then lose what may be 20-25 pounds. LOL

Re: Have a guy's upper reciver and can't find him. UPDATE

Not to throw a twist into this issue, but, if he's in jail and he hasn't been tried of this robbery charge, there's a good chance he could plead down or get completely out of the charge. At my work I see criminal records EVERY day. I see things like this: Charge: Armed Robbery Type: Felony Date: suc...

Re: My weapon of choice...

Kinda hurts my feelings that ZS is an entrenched community, not open to discussions of using a spear and shield for practical purposes in the modern world. Tell you what, go to http://www.lightfighter.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, post your spear and shield idea there, they'll...

Re: My weapon of choice...

The sarge wasn't describing his own loadout. He was quoting Gecko45, I believe, the legendary persona for whom the term "mall ninja" was first coined, and comparing Bunni's writing style to Gecko'45's. The bit about duct taping trauma plates to his back was one of the more hysterical posts Gecko45 ...

Re: My weapon of choice...

I have a 2.5 x2.5ft 1/4" plywood laminted square shield that has a dirk mounted to the back for quick draw. I back mount a shotgun on a cargo loop on the left shoulder with a flashlight loop on the back of my belt to keep it from flopping and shifting. In the event of an emergency I swap the pr24 o...

Just ordered something from botach that showed to be in stock yesterday, and got an email earlier today telling me it is backordered. That's the second time and the last time I order from there.

Re: What's your family oriented prep project this week(end)?

My wife and I bought a pressure canner, and the blue ball recipe book. We managed to can 8 pounds of chicken stew, and some beef stew. This week I'll be working on creating a storage space and shelving in the attached garage.

Re: AR-15 Question

Some of the M16's issued in the military were beat to shit, finish almost completely off, stocks appeared to be made in the 1800's Uppers would always rattle around. But when we'd take them to the range, they'd get hits from the 500 yard line with iron sights. No worries man.

Re: What have you SOLD or TRADED lately (firearms related)

6 months ago I sold my Bushmaster AR, it was set up with a VLTOR CASV system and weighed way too much. I've since bought a Colt M4 Carbine AR, added an eotech xps, MI gen2 drop in rails, inforce wml, AFG and a VCAS sling. Much lighter and a better base rifle. Sold my Glock 30 to pick up a Gen4 Glock...

"Oh I just pulled out my pocket knife and stabbed it in the chest a little."

I think the wrapping is to hide the quality, something about it to me seems off. But again, I really shouldn't be using it for anything other than decoration. Sorry for getting off topic here. Looking forward to more katana pics.

Re: Show your katana

The pegs are hidden under an intricate wrap, a wrap I'd never in a million years be able to put back like it was. It isn't the normal wrapping or any like I've ever seen. I'm sure those pegs are under there, and I'd like to inspect the tang and find a makers signature, but it isn't worth it..LOL

Re: Show your katana

I have a katana a friend of mine picked up in Japan for me. I know nothing about it, no clue who it was made by, what kind of steel was used, and since I don't know any of that information it's used as a wall hanger only. The blade looks nice, with what appears to be a natural hamon, and the tip is ...

Re: Food and starvation material? (Babies, Kids, Adults)

How old is this infant? I am assuming you're meaning any child under 1 year old. Most children that are considered infants eat very little solid food, and possibly only milk with a cereal type of additive. If the mother is present she should try lactating to feed the child. If this isn't possible, t...
