Re: Will the increase in Militia activity interfere with preps?
Most everything I have ever read here is reasonable and prudent. If someone looks at what is posted here (if that someone is reasonable and prudent) they will see that this is definitely not militia activity. What is discussed here is no different than some kind of disaster insurance except your bug...

Re: Home First Aid Kit Advice
I am currently doing a proper med kit with similar budget. "Lurking" through this thread helped a lot. Thanks for posting it! I will stress stocking up benadryl though. you can save a life (or your own) with that stuff.

Re: What have you learned from your elders?
Not to judge a book by its cover. Kinda simple. My Step-Grandfather (Married my Dads Mom) was a short mexican immigrant that barely spoke any english and was deaf. He would sit and watch cartoons all day with the sound off. My family is a bunch of really tall white folks (Norwegian decent). All this...

Re: The difference between surviving and living.
milesdzyn, Good point. I had intended this post to be more about "living and not just surviving". I was looking for some input about maintaining you life in paw, not just shooting zombies. Whats scarier than zombies is when their all dead the only people left will be survivalists. I would like to th...

SOLDwtt/s mini 14 tapco fusion stock.SOLD
I bought this stock on amazon, got it, installed it, went shooting 1 time and a cop buddy of mine told it was illegal in my state. It has been collecting dust in my gun safe for almost 2 years. If anything it got to become conscious gun laws in ca as I have not done anything like this without lookin...

Re: ANOTHER RABIES STORY - food for thought
When I was in High school there was a reported case of a rabies infected mountain lion. Everyone was freaked right the fuck out. I even saw a guy in town board his windows. The only thing scarier is a z-mountain lion. Ha ha HA!

Re: Guard/Family Dog
This will sound silly. I have had other dogs in the house but have always had a Boston terrier. This dog is good for the climate out here in ca. I have 3 kids and 2 Bostons, I have caught my 2 year old pulling on their ears without getting bit. Both my dogs love my kids. they are small but my boston...

Re: New guy here.
Dont laugh, I want to know if a standard ak bullet button works on the saiga. (223) I understand that the magazine is a little different, but I am not sure how. The reason behind this is to do an ak style bullpup job to it. This seams like a good companion to my Mini14.

I dont know what you mean by cheap. Like looking for a good gun at a decent price or through in my tackle box cheap. My walther p22 is in the $300 range and it is awesome. I have bigger "better" guns at the house but when I go shooting its the only one I take everytime.

This is a recent development as I was a pipe fitter for years. Laid off about a year ago and was "what now".

child abuse in any form (even animal abuse for that matter) gets reported every time. speaking as a emt in ca they watch you pretty close as to how you report things and who you report to. Just telling some beat cop you dont know is not reporting a crime and is also not confidential. Drug abuse we t...
