I want to change the trigger out on my AR

As the topic says, I want to change out my trigger. I didnt think it was too bad, until I tried someone else's last weekend. Going back to mine, its gritty, heavy, and feels clunky. I built my AR by hand, and can certainly do the swap myself, but I really dont know what I am looking for. I am coming...

Re: New woobie!

I use one of these (in green) for summer hiking. They are nice & warm. They roll up into their own pocket-not exactly the size of a Nalgene, but certainly small enough to not take up much room. I choose this over a sleeping bag whenever I can-pretty much if its above 50F, this is my sleepgear of cho...

[quote="doc66"]You are making the mistake that many make in thinking that because it has a pistol grip, it can be used like a pistol in "close environments." It's not a pistol, it's a shotgun.(snipped)quote] I have a mossberg 500, I bought in the early 90's. I shot it with the pistol grip, because I...

Re: S&W M&P 15

I have run a bushmaster for going on 7 years now, putting, at a guess, between 6-8000 rounds, and havent experienced any issues at all. Granted, this isnt a tack driver-but, I dont know if that is me, the ammo, or the rifle. Any mlafunctions I have had were due entirely to magazine issues, and not r...

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

The anti siphon mechanism is down low, after the bend, so a screwdriver couldnt get to it. The best way would be to simply puncture the tank, and get it that way.

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

I just had a horrific realization!!!!! I flashed back to the late 70's, when my mom would have her friends over to discuss the previous day's General Hospital-who was good, who was bad, were Luke & Laura going to marry, etc....and, here we are, essentially talking the same thing....we are, people, w...

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

Sadly, I kinda knew that they wouldnt find Sophia alive. I mean, it has been a while. There is no real timeline that we can go by here-people seem to heal remarkably quick from gunshot wounds, or arrow wounds, so there really isnt a say as to how long, exactly, the time in between was. But, my best ...

Re: Color difference in gear

Mine is green-for 2 reasons. One, I live in the northeast-green is pretty damned prevalent here. Two, its cheap-cheaper than anything patterned. And ALWAYS on sale. I just cannot tell the difference between green, foliage, OD green, or Ranger green-so, it may be mismatched, but its all green (I am c...

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

I like Shane-I honestly think he is the most believable one on the show, behind Daryl. I see it all like this; the world, as it was known, is dead-literally AND figuratively. The old social mores are gone. Things like not allowing kids firearms, making hard, sometimes fatal decisions, and thinking f...

My advice: Let someone else carry it! This right here is the best advice so far in the thread. Note that he quoted me in his sig-I am of the same mind! Being the smallest guy in my platoon, I was the 60 gunner for a year-that thing weighed half my weight...I'd be DAMNED if I let someone else shoot ...

Re: Tactical tailor questons

I buy from them whenever I can. Thier shop is located 10 minutes from my brother, and, when I go visit him, I ALWAYS come home with gear. The owner is top notch-the original founder died a few years ago, and I think its his brother that runs it now, but not entirely sure. My dad went there a couple ...

If you have to wear a PC, thats one thing. If you dont, go with a chest rig. And, less is more. I have a warbelt, with 2 rifle pouches, 2 pistol pouches, a dump bag, a small FAK, and my pistol rig. On my chest rig, I have 3 additional rifle mag pouches, 2 pistol pouches, an admin pouch, a small pouc...

Re: Need Help AR purchase

My only advice is to try before you buy. As you are just breaking into the long gun club, see who among your friends has different types to try out. You are looking at bolt action, semi auto, lever action, single shot, etc. I dont know which state you are from, and living in a restrictive state, MY ...

Re: Rules are made to be broken...?

Phil kinda laid down the hammer, but I want to make a couple comments. There was some Brit PAW series someone posted here, that was only a season long, about a group of survivors. The parking on the wrong side thing you mentioned, triggered this. A woman was driving a vehicle, and came to a T inters...

Re: CONDOR Micro Fleece Jacket - Review

I have had one of these for about a year-its my only fleece currently. No major issues with it to date. The piling has flattened out somewhat, but, I wear it almost daily for 4-5 months out of a year, so, thats expected, as with any fleece jacket. Have washed it, twice, no issues there either. All i...

Re: Camouflaged one of my holsters

That came out really nice!!! I am curious as to what the durability will be with it. The outside of the holster doesnt get a lot of wear & tear, I understand that, but, I wonder if the glue loses it stickiness over time? I REALLY like the idea though!!! My belt is green-spray paint worked for me :)

Re: What is the reliability of utility natural gas?

I was without power for 5 days, and had gas service the entire time. I have no clue what the situation was with the distro station, or however it is distributed, but, from what I understand, they are located in the same state, a few towns away. Whether they had lost power, had town power, etc-I dont...

Re: "Walking Dead" New Cable Series

I'm with RickOshea on this one. My guess is that these are family members that turned. As Herschel seems to have an aversion to guns, and violence in general, my suspicion is that, instead of putting them down, he opted to herd them into the barn-maybe praying for a cure, I HIGHLY doubt working on o...

I believe it was created for factory workers, so that there was natural light at the beginning of their shift-not farmers. I COULD be wrong though.
I think we should all go to GMT-no daylight savings, no time zones, nothing silly like that. We would all be on the same clock :)

Re: My SOG EOD multitool experience

I personally carry the Leatherman Supertool 300. I picked up an aftermarket case for it, that has 2 side loops for holding small items. I have a Maratac flachlight in 1, and the other is currently empty. This is probably the biggest leatherman they make-but, it gets used a lot. I have it on my hip, ...
