Colt Woodman Purchase, Range Report & Ramblings (Very Long)

Colt Woodman Purchase, Range Report & Ramblings. (Very Long) A lot of you guys know me, I don't post much but when I do I get a bit wordy... this is no exception. You have been warned. The Introduction. About a year ago a work buddy of mine were talking firearms and was rattling on and on about his...

Re: Defensive longarm for a homestead in Alaska EDIT: Vepr .

Use what the forestry service and park rangers use in Alaska.

45-70 Guide Gun.

Anything you shoot in Alaska for 'defensive' purposes is going to be sub-150 yards anyway... .308 is a waste.

I got my 45-70 1895 SBL in Alaska, best gun I have ever owned.

Re: Best way to carry a Samuri Sword

The guy is new here. Cant spell Samurai. Is talking about a TV character based on a comic book character... need I say more? In reality, in a shtf or teotwawki the average joe would be better off with a Machete, a tomahawk/poll axe or small camp axe than any kind of sword. There is no reason at all ...

Re: Neighbor slapped my son... And I...

Update: Have had no other contact with Lemonboy. I did file for a temporary restraining order, and after 6 hours of waiting around on a work day, was summarily denied, but offered a hearing. So I am taking the hearing on the 15th. Got proof of service from the Marshall's office yesterday. I will ta...

Re: Neighbor slapped my son... And I...

Civil Court. Pay your 50$ and sue the guy for the maximum allowed in small claims. Prob, $5000... if he doesn't show up, you win automatically and when the constable shows and starts impounding shit and puts a lean on his bank account or house, you'll have the guys attention. I'm not a sue happy guy...

Re: Cooksets??

Are you traditional or a 'gear head'? I carry a small Iron Skillet (6 inch) in my BoB, I get laughed at by ZS, but it gets the job done and will last forever. WOW! That is a ton of weight. I love cooking on cast iron, but I don't think I'd ever have it in my pack. It's a small 6 inch, it doesn't we...

Re: Kickstarter for "The Zombie Axiom" Novel

As a fellow author let me give you some advice, If you want to E-Publish you are looking at a $2.99 price point, your kickstarter is $4000... that is about 1400 sales. Have any of your previous projects sold more than 1000 copies? (If they had you wouldn't be doing this) If you are looking to tradit...

Re: Kickstarter for "The Zombie Axiom" Novel

Why do you need a kickstarter and $4000 to write a novel? Just write it, and publish it. If it is good it will be successful, if its not, it wont be. Authors write, Writers talk about writing. Which are you? Seems like a money grab to me, instead of running a kickstarter you should be spending the e...

The holster is for a Colt Woodman...

Putting a Colt Woodsman in Kydex would be like putting your d*** in a hot dog bun... it might fit, but that's not where it belongs.

I've been kicking around the idea of picking up one of these carbines up for a while. Does anyone have any experience with them? I carry a glock 19 so I would be interested in getting the G19 version of the sub 2000. They also make a G17 version but my 19 mags would not fit because the mag well wou...

Went to a HORRIBLE Gun Show this weekend in OKC.

I had heard 'good reviews' about Super Dave's Gun Shows and saw one was coming this weekend in OKC. So I decided to make the drive just to look around. http://superdavesgunshow.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I figured with a $10 admission it should at least be decent... This was...

No mention of 'adult' content at all. Color me disappointed... You can saw someones leg off and try and flush it down a toilet in a video game, but if it shows boobs its the end of the world.
