Re: CMMG Bravo AR .22 LR conversion kit
Uh, zantra, the shift was found between a standard velocity rimfire and a high velocity rimfire cartidge. No need to take cut off wheels of any sort to any part of the firearm. Quazi thanks for the review. I'm happy to hear this purchase panned out for you in the long run. I might pick one up myself...

Re: GET NOTIFICATIONS TO WORK!
While I hate the interface, would tapatalk be of any help? I haven't used it for years, hated several aspects of it, so went back to mobile web browsing, but I don't know if it might have a proprietary notification system which works better than the house brand. I've grown greatly disappointed with ...

Re: SHTF Convoy Driving
Giving this thread a bump because a thought just crossed my mind which many more people have experience with, but I do not, so I'm curious if anything can be learned from it: funeral processions. I'm sure someone here has been in one, what kind of organization was put in place for logistics of many ...

Re: Bolt Action: Stock vs Chassis
Magpul makes a stock, same ergonomics to the shotgun stocks they put out a few years back, which I find absolutely hideous. But it's probably the cheapest route for AICS mag bottom metal, and semi adjustable length of pull and comb heights. It's the theoretical light weights that appeal to me, but c...

Re: Kifaru gear pricing
Only way to be sure would be if you had screen shots to compare pricing of specific items over time. I know in the past year they changed at least the frame line up (dropped the "bikini", introduced the "ultralight"). It's possible by adjusting suppliers and purchase quantities they were able to res...

Click bait link. TLDC; "Millenials are missing out because their lives are different than yours". How many boomers can't tie a knot or navigate by compass? How many had been camping by the time they were 30? How many boomers know how to create a new email account and access it on a smart phone? How ...

2017 Preparedness Goals
Another year coming, a new set of goals. These threads have always helped me brainstorm ideas to prepare and reference through the year to see where I actually wanted to be.The most important thing is that we move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling to...

Very timely thread as I'm just starting to load my off grid/B.O.B./I.N.C.H./Z.O.M.G. bag and intend to go the stored-with-blanket-swap-for-sleeping-bag-if-time-allows methodology (B.O.B. in sig is designed around realistic events where I wouldn't need to make or provide my own shelter, just get to a...

Rifles came in to my FFL in town yesterday. It just so happens that I can probably sneak out of work early today. The only thing that is making me maybe want to wait until Saturday is that Rogue One will be in theaters. I want rifles more! Screw waiting two whole extra days! Wait, there's another S...

I've heard stories of the stores downtown Toronto selling enfields out of 50gallon barrels for $5 each, the "expensive" ones were unissued still in wood crates.

What do you make and sell?
I know there was a similar thread a while back, and I know board participation is dwindling. But I want to know what everyone makes out there as a hobby or to sell. Could be fun to play with different weights for sure, as well as unbalanced weights. Certainly a less lethal way to restrain an escapee with practice.

Re: Gearbest = Fun little site to shop on.
I put an order into gearbest maybe 6 months ago, took a while to show up, but it shipped from China for free, what do you expect. A $5 Bluetooth earbud with questionable mic (but efficient one ear stereo listening device), Knock off web dominators with cheap bungee (great for straps you almost never...

Re: Rural home invasion – barricade or run for it?
As I do not live in the sticks I would most likely be bugged out already with ShoeDaddy. In that case, our scenario would entail getting his kidlet upstairs, and locked away safe whilst he, his wife, and I proceed to lay down an unholy amount of fire from the front windows. I'd have brought my Tavo...

Is there an official milspec diagram for 5.56x45? I know there's multiple variations, I'd be interested in seeing them all if anyone has a source. Great thread. I need another project like I need a hole in my heart, but I really like it. A thought: In Toronto, police auctions sell bicycles online starting at $1. Check how the local system works, you can find good stuff for well south of $30, and basic stuff under $10 (Great stuff usually going...
