Re: Too much faith in my GPS?

I once drove from Mulgrave Nova Scotia to portland Mane in a blizzard, I was getting off the boat and going home after one of the most miserable hitches I have ever had at sea, SO I didn't care that i couldn't see the road though I did get a little nervous after about 2 hours of driving down a road ...

Well thanks and it's good to meet you. I already saw the camp n shoot but it just so happens that my sister (who is going to school to be a nurse) has the only week off from school that she gets all year on the 22 and I had promised her 2 months ago that I'd fire up the old hog and roll out to Texas...

One of the best investments I've made is 15 chickens. I get a dozen fresh eggs a day with out fail if not a couple more. Now I can't eat em all so i give them away, people like me for this and I only spend 10$ a month in cheap chicken scratch, when things get ugly I'll have to go get 2 or 3 bags of ...

Re: Man Shot dead, after trying to get into wrong house

If I decide to go out and drink so much that I can't figure out I'm at the wrong house then by all means shoot me. If I was in that situation I'd shoot me. I know it doesn't say he was drunk but it had to of been that or he was stealing either way he was in the wrong place at the right time. I imagi...

Re: strangest thing you have ever seen

Strangest thing I ever saw I've seen so many times these days that I don't even think it's strange any more. At some risk of destroying any small amount of creditability I may have had here goes. I see "little people". Not like midgets or dwarfs, or vertically challenged citizens. I allways felt em ...

These are all mostly serious life threatening events that people couldn't raise there heads to notice. But It's simple things to, like the elevator if you can't get the simple things how can you be expected to realize your pant leg is on fire... I think a lot of it is being self centered more than s...

I got my sign off of some gun nut web site the same time i ordered my improvised munitions manual, a fiberforce stock for an AK and some other odds and ends like high capacity mags and *camo face paint (*for my girlfriends son, not because I'm loony).... so if there is a watch list I'm sure I'm on i...

Dag nabbit boy, that aint a coon.

A short tale about a security system gone right. A little background, my family and I own a chunk of land kinda squarish and large enough to allow us all to live on separate corners, far enough away from the others that you can't see em but close enough you can hear someone yell from the other house...

Re: Lets see your garden/allotment! Hot Or Not?

Made my self do a garden this year after of 2 years without one. I'll post pictures once it looks like more than a patch of dirt. It's about 20 by 25 feet. I planted corn, tomatoes, lots of okra, lettuce, carrots, broccoli, squash, cucumbers, watermellon, basil, thyme, cilantro and a few useful thin...

I picked up an 870 in a pawnshop about a year ago. It had belonged to a police officer that traded it on something. So naturally it was 12ga, sawed down to the Min and had the bead soldered on real nice all parkerized and synthetic, give something like 200 for it. The bright red shells in the bullet...

Re: A little perspective on doing without...

I totally agree. I grew up on a homestead in a small town And I hated sloping hogs, scooping poop plucking chickens weeding gardens... u name it I did it grudgingly. Of course the taste of rabbit dummplins did always help me feel a little better about it. I allways swore that when I turned 18 I was ...

I stumbled upon some MH meals here in a Florida walmart a few days ago while looking for something else for a backpacking trip. All they had was bacon and eggs, beef stew, spaghetti and meat sauce and the ice cream. I ate the beef stew on my trip was pretty good but id recommend seasoning it up with...
