Re: GOAL0 now at LOWES

Just wanted to bump this so I could take a moment to brag about how I just dug an escape 150 adventure kit off the back of the clearance rack at Lowes for $175. I guess they aren't carrying them any more. Check the racks at your local Lowes, good luck! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2

Re: Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

What's your goal? Long range? Short range? Suppressed? The last tapatalk update is not letting me multi quote properly. don't really have a goal. Just wanting to build something different. And I was curious as to what I could do with the least amount of specialty parts. Namely magazines. Thanks for...

Re: SwampRat's adventures in suburban gardening.

Thanks Dawgboy. I agree. Sun it up man, especially in Mass. The way we avoid burn down south is to plant early and late when the sun is lower in the sky. I chose my garden spot as its the sunniest spot in my yard, and pretty much the only place to put it. Also I am jealous of your Koi pond, have any...

About 2 ounces of silver or 1,700 rounds of 22 in todays market.

Id wager that price going up in a collapse.

First Pickins! http://img.tapatalk.com/c6e4c998-2939-f8a9.jpg Had a straggler pop up in the lettuce. I wanted to rip it out a month ago, but the misses wanted to see what it was. Turned out to be an eggplant! Pretty cool, I planted those last year. http://img.tapatalk.com/c6e4c998-2a3a-c690.jpg Sent...

Re: SwampRat's adventures in suburban gardening.

Thanks Curryman. Your squash is looking good! I wish I could claim the potting soil bag idea, but I got it from a Mother Earth news mag 8-). I took a long screwdriver and poked about 8 holes all the way through the bag into the ground for drainage. Then just slashed the top open and inserted waterme...

Re: SwampRat's adventures in suburban gardening.

Looking at my last update made me realize how much my garden has grown! Everything is doing pretty good. My brussel sprouts have been ravaged by some unknown critter.... But I didnt think they'd make it anyway before the heat. So if they are keeping it off my other plants I don't care. I've got the ...

Re: Champion 2,000 watt inverter generator

You guys are both right, no way to do without an AC here in the GOM, not the way they design houses these days. I could rough it with worst of them, but I have a woman and two kids to worry about. Cant wait till I can build my own place back in Florida. And a fan is a good asset. An un air condition...

Re: Re: Champion 2,000 watt inverter generator

Nice! Got a couple questions, tho. If you are powering your window AC unit with one, how are you coming out ahead on the noise factor, with the genny right below the running AC? I've noticed that, in a blackout that affected only certain areas, I've been able to hear a window unit running from 2 bl...

Ohh, something else, make absoutly sure that you are looking at the 2,000 watt generators because the same type in a 1,000 watt version goes for 350 NIB. And the pics look the same.
