Re: Re: Weapon for minor.
May I suggest that if the school you are planning on sending your DD to is that dangerous/violent/full of gangbangers/nastiness Consider sending her to a private school. We have a pair of wonderful private high schools here in Anchorage that only charge about 5K year in tuition. It would have to be...

Re: Weapon for minor.
I had about given up on her carrying anything in school. Mostly because I think she'd get caught. I more meant the knife for edc outside of school, like walking to her friends house and what not. I like that brush, I'd forgotten id seen those. And she does have some combat training from when she was...

Weapon for minor.
My daughter is past that age where she can cling behind me in the face of danger all the time, and not yet to the age where I can hand her a pistol (14). And lately I've been considering the option of arming her. I've had quite a few trains of thought on the matter and feel I could use some help sor...

Re: Awkard moments or negative responses while using your ED
I understand that perfectly. I was just amused by the previous posters long winded defensive responses. I didnt imply anything negative about the guy.... Kinda felt like I'd walked into a country and western bar running my mouth about Johnny Cash... hell, I wouldn't want some fool having a gun...

Re: Champion 2,000 watt inverter generator
I didn't spring for the home unit because I plan on moving in a year or two. But once I get back to the BOL I will be installing a small home unit with a giant back yard lp tank. I think that's the best way to go for sure. Not a huge one, just something around 5 or 7 k thats wired in to run the litt...

Re: Awkard moments or negative responses while using your ED
Alright, calm down guys. I never said the doc was fuckin asshole. I understand the policy. It was the disgust that was there that he would even have a knife that baffled me. Just take a deep breath. Also, this is a small county hospital with all of 4 beds in the ER. I guess I need to practice making...

Re: Champion 2,000 watt inverter generator
In addition to good fuel economy, they have longer maintenance schedules. So thats less filters you have to stock, and I think they need 1/2 quart oil every 100 hours instead of 40. I'm happy with the refurbished stuff. I tend to buy lots of things that way. Look at it like this, it's already had th...

Re: Re: Champion 2,000 watt inverter generator
Any update on how these gennies are running? I'm looking at getting something smaller soon. Not really an update, haven't had cause to run them. Just went over the startup and shutdown with the family again lastnight. Still hoping I don't get a reason. But so far so good. They do look pretty sweet ...

My neighbors kid: will open the door for absolutely anybody, despite his mother running through the house after him and screaming not to do it. My kid(teenage girl): Thinks everyone in the world wants to be her friend, even truckers at truck stops.... Lol, no offense guys. Me: I have to leave my gat...

Re: Awkard moments or negative responses while using your ED
Once had a sticky situation with a good friend. He was in the hospital (already in a room stretched out on a bed) and the doctor refused to treat him until he relinquished his pocket knife, the clip of which he saw hanging in his pocket. Now this knife had sentimental value and he refused to hand it...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.
I reassembled my rifle today, until I decide what to do about that barrel. Toying with just buying jigs and a drill press. Anyway, I decided to use some new pins I got from psa and they are a hair too small. This whole rebarreling operation is starting to make me want to drink... Sent from my SAMSUN...

It's actually the front sight a2 style gas block. I'm going from a 20 inch heavy barrel and free float tube down to a 16" light profile and a moe handguard. Just trying to lighten things up a bit.
