Re: PAW Firearm Preparedness.

Based on what i have done in life, I base my bugout firearms system on the EDC handgun, as its what i WILL have on me when whatever event that makes me bug out happens. - spare mags on person -ammo in vehicles, stashed route of march, and at BOL, as well as secondary/terciary locations. ammo will mo...

Re: Cope Distributing has 27rd Glock 21 mags

SF's with ambi mag releses will not accept older mags. SF's with the standard mag release wil acept any G-21 mag. The ambi relese engages on the front of the mag. Newer mags have both the old notch and the front notch.

Re: Crossbreed Holsters...

Crossbreed got me converted to IWB carry. Their customer service is great- i got my first three or so years ago, when they were using kydex clips. I broke them, and they sent me replacements. Those also cracked, so i started making my own. The body of the holster cracked and they replaced it, but le...

Re: Using odd ball calibers?

well, i am one of those guys. I think it was Melonbuster who nailed it. I am not counting on any ammo that i do not carry, stock , or preposition myself. I think its rather foolish to plan ahead on relying on chance for ammo regardless of caliber, or anything else. However, an interesting observatio...

my g-20 is spot on at 100 yards, if i can keep up my end. It can go further even if i can't.

I believe that long range handgun shooting is an excellent SHTF skill to have.

+1 on the timer.have someone in the know watch you, or film yourself, during dry practice and eliminate all movements that do NOT draw and shoot the pistol.

Re: What is your current CONCEALED CARRY caliber?

My EDC is a glock 20 10mm. I swapped to it about three years ago, from a G-21 45. I reload, so ammo availability/cost is negligible. I like the power, capacity, flat trajectory, versitility..it just does everything pretty well. There are smaller guns, and lighter guns, but this is a full size tool, ...

Re: Who here shoots long distance with handguns?

I shoot at 50 and 100 with my 10mm g-20. On a good day, i can do deliberate headshots at 100. Day before yesterday, i sucked though! I think it is a great way to evaluate marksmanship errors once some skill is developed. its also a good SHTF skill, IMO. Once i get consistent results at 100, I'll pus...

Re: Want a new hilt for my CS Trailmaster

I have done several TM's for myself and freinds. Do a little research, look at rabbet tang type handles. That's what i usually do, it involves two halves of a handle, thicker than slabs, that you inlet half the thickness of the tang into, then epoxy together into a single unit, looks like a block wi...

Re: Fullsized auto's for civilians why?

I EDC a G-20. Formerly i carried a G-21 for years. With the right gear, concealment is a non issue. WHY? well, most has been said a few times: sight raduis, grip size, controlability, BBl lenght, ect. All this VS that of a compact. I have a G-21 i have had forvever. I carried it awhile, and used it ...

Harold Fish was released I believe. The legislature in AZ realized the law was NFG, changed it, and the govenor declared it retroactive and granted him a pardon. There was a lot about that case that was BS: The assialants history, the fact that he did in fact have a screwdriver in his pocket, the fa...

my BOB supliments and resupplies my EDC items, in that respect it has ammo in it, enough to refill the three mags i carry. Since i carry a 10mm, i make sure i have plenty of ammo available, it being uncommon. I have another bag with ammo and loaded mags in the truck, as well as a 4-mag bando of rifl...

I lived in Sothern California for A few years after active service. My plan if SHTF- and it was NOT a great plan, was to put alice pack and MTN bike in a local drainage canal- it was dry 95% of the time, and ride it to the outskirts, where there was a network of trails and enough scrub brush to allo...

Re: NEVER USE 3 IN 1 OIL ON A SHTF GUN

I read a test done by a guy that works at Brownells. he coated several steel plates with diferent oils/clp products and let them weather outside, and checked on the conditions. almost all the plates had some rust, some a lot of rust. clp worked, but a product called Boesheild T-9 worked a little bet...

I EDC a g-20. I love it. I also reload, have some ammo stored, and have 3 21's JIC. Its a capable round- No, it does NOT recoil like a 44 mag, and follow uop shots are as fast, or faster than my follow ups with my 45. don't believe the BS you hear, a lot of it is people repeating things they have he...

Well, My early reasons: The first SA centerfire i bought was a Sig 229. I liked it, though i never fully mastered the DA/SA trigger. Moved back to the world, started carying the gun a lot, and noticed it got dinged up. I bought a used glock 21, and carried that. I started to notice that I'd grab the...

I EDC a zippo, and fil it once a week. I like it as its a self-maintained design. For a butane lighters, Djeep wins, larger flame, still had adjustable flame wheel, and the child safety thing is NOT a pain in the ass, and actually works to keep it from leaking in your pocket, Something to consider i...

Re: Wrist Rocket / Slingshot as a weapon.

I'll have to respectfully disagree with some here. I fooled a good deal with slinshots from boyhood on, in the Marines i ended up making my own. I'll be willing to bet that a 50 cal lead ball fired out of a good tapered band slingshot, built for power, and placed in the head, wil most likley kill so...

Sewing things into your clothing, such as a good knife, para cord, firestarter and tinder will help. Sew a cuff key into your boot. as far as packing things in the anus, you would be amazed at what people will do, and what they can walk around with..and run with up there. And how fast it can be inse...
