Re: Zombie Fort.

In a Walking Dead situation..... How are bad guys going to harvest crops when they are not ready to harvest? And how are they going to harvest 100+ acres of crops spread out over several abandoned farms? Without operational combines and harvesters? I don't know about you but I am not standing around...

Re: HELP: advice on bolt action carbines/scout rifles

If you look at the Enfield, all that wood, other than the actual part bolted to the action, is just hanging on the barrel. Do you really think its used to hold the barrel stiff? They didn't know about barrel whip back then. They just put that much wood on it out of tradition. the same reason they u...

Re: Zombie Fort.

As I have said before. I would NOT have left Georgia. You know the area. 4 seasons of farming. Just plant and harvest. Plant some of those Huge farm fields.Who is going to steal it? The Zeds? Military bases. A good source of weapons and supplies to start out. https://www.nps.gov/fopu/learn/index.htm

Re: Leaving a BOL/BIL to conduct Recon & Surveillance

Patrolling to me seems like a dubious practice for a small group. Unless all your doing is running your own fence line and can run back to the main BOL in case of an emergency. But you can establish a network of friendly neighbors who have radios and code/phrase cards. You could use small remote con...

Re: designing and building a custom tear drop trailer

A small trailer doesn't have to be tear drop shaped.
A more boxy shape offers more internal room.

In fact some were designed to fit a small boat latched upside down on the top.

Re: "Walking Dead" Cable Series

A have no idea on the AK, but if you don't have the specific M16 parts for the AR, and a milling machine and jig, its not going to happen. You can't do it without FCG, BCG, Trigger group, Sear, lower, some have to be changed out and the lower modified. It's doable if you have the parts and a millin...

Actually not really.
Unless you know exactly how to do it and have the tools. And can make the parts.

Its actually easier to turn an Ar15 to full auto,

Follow along.

You had all your ammo and junk with you when the boat went down.
I told you it would not all fit in a canoe.

Re: WWYB? - $1000 for guns

1. EAA SAR B6P (CZ75 clone) - $250 2. Mossberg 88 12 gauge - $200 3. PSA AR15 build - $450 Total: $900 extra $100: tax and extras I would drop the pump gun, even though its a good idea, its just not a combat weapon so having a pump action is not worth the cost. A CHEAP used single does a good enoug...

Re: Some Hobo/Fema Signs for you and yours

My family came up with a simple system everyone already knows.

Simple text emoticons plus personal symbols for for each family or family member and specific locations. Placed at predetermined locations in case of school evacuations and or weather emergencies.
Phones might not always work.

Open up any Bryco-Jennings-Jimenez arms 9mm or 380acp. They look identical.
The only difference is the plastic frame.

Wouldn't you just dunk under the water and put out the fire thats on you? And whats with Strand? Are the write...

Unless you plan on reloading for yourself now then planning on reloading in the future should be kept as small and cheap as possible. The medusa revolver fits your bill. http://www.wideopenspaces.com/can-shoot-25-different-calibers-one-revolver-medusa-m-47-video/ It used a special ejector/extractor to handle the various cartridges.
