Re: Oil/Grease Fire

I live in an apartment and I am truly afraid of apartment fires. In last year, there have been four major apartment fires in Fargo. One of them was in the building next to mine.

Its good to hear that their wasn't any serious damage.

Inside a can of Mt. House pilot crackers

I haven't been able to find a picture of how these crackers are packaged. I figured that some of you might want to see the contents of the can Amazon dented. Outside. http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz356/koolaidnd/IMG_3212.jpg Lid opened. http://i843.photobucket.com/albums/zz356/koolaidnd/IMG_32...

Re: Help with fishing kit for my bob

Saltwater and freshwater...hmmm. Let me see what I can help you with. I only fish freshwater and most of that is done on lakes and rivers. Catfish, walleyes, northerns and panfish are my typical targets. Lines. I use both braided and mono on my fishing rods. Both have a purpose for my fishing. Mono ...

Re: Is prepping spreading in your area?

People around here typically have some amount of prepping done. It floods in the spring and we get a couple region crippling blizzards a year. People tend to have at least a weeks worth of supplies.

Mountain house can issue

Not sure where this should really go, so I'm gonna stick it here. I ordered a #10 can of mountain house from Amazon this week. The box arrived last night and the packaging looked great. Upon opening the shipping container, I noticed that my can has a small dent in bottom, near the seam. I am concern...

Re: What to use for shelter?

I'm not trying to be a smart ass, but you can always make a debris shelter if your in the woods. There are options to make a shelter out of nothing but snow too. I have slept in a quinzhee before and it was quite warm. I would get a quality sleeping pad, sleeping bag and a couple tarps until you can...

Re: Coleman stove top oven

I can't use charcoal at my apartment. Its a city fire code violation. I can however use my white gas stove and the coleman oven to bake without any trouble.

I do have several Lodge indoor dutch ovens that I use in my oven.

Re: Coleman stove top oven

I would honestly prefer to get a nice dutch oven, but I can't use it at my apartment. I can use this oven on my balcony with my coleman stove. Last weekend we had a decent sized power outage in Fargo. It got me thinking about how I would bake if the outage was longer then a couple days. I like to ke...

Re: Ultralight Fishing Rig?

I love all of my Ugly Sticks. They have handled years of rough catfishing better then anything I have tried. For my spinning rods, I use Shimano reels and the casting rods get Abu Garcia 6500's. I picked a St. Croix Triumph 6.5 foot light action spinning rod recently. I think it will be my bait catc...
