Re: Active Shooter Defense
Our active shooter protocol (I just did the training) at the hospital I work at boils down to: abandon patients and get the fuck out; if you can't get out, hide (spread out and not clustered together for obvious reasons), preferably in a room with a keypad entry on the door, but not in a room that ...

Yes, that would be it.12_Gauge_Chimp wrote:So the main difference is the length of the gas tube and distance from the gas block to the bolt ?
I can get into port pressures and dwell time and reliability envelopes based on barrel lengths and blahblahblah but if you're talking a 16" barrel carbine or middy is AOK.

Re: Turn your Glock into an SBR.
do these things extend the barrel length somehow? Someone give me a quick lesson on what this does to make your pistol any different than what it is already Additional stabilization point due to the buttstock + possibilities of sling usage. Ability to easily add an optic, albeit questionable in man...

Re: Turn your Glock into an SBR.
I don't get it. At all. If going with something big, I want it to shoot a "big" cartridge. Better to get a true SBR (AR, AK, etc) or even an AR pistol. Https://civiliangunfighter.wordpress.com Not all places you can have an AR or AK etc. Fair enough. In that case, I'd sooner just use a Glock with a...

Let's see.... 3lbs of small quantities of assorted ammo that I may run into, or 3lbs of ammo for guns that I'm already carrying. That's a hard one.

Then i watched my girlfriend see it for the first time.... And i think a lot of us guys are missing the power of a juat noticeable diff...

Hit the range today. Unpacking my bag I realized it was like a Glock and Surefire catalog got together and had an orgy.

Too lazy to look it up: is that a wider window than aimpoint? 25mm, so it bridges the gap between the fullsize M68/ML-series and a Micro. So 100ish cheaper than a t1. Any other advantages? I see same battery life and equivalent brightness settings. Slightly bigger lens, but in my limited experience...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife
I think an upgraded lever gun (integral rail, improved sights, better ergos (like a large lever, loading gate on the left side etc)) would beat a pump. One issue is the type of rounds are limited due to the manner it loads.
