Re: Range bag suggestions?

I use the Remington Branded bag from Walmart. At first I thought it was pretty slick. After putting it to some use, I find that its too wide to comfortably carry and doesn't have sufficient compartmentalization. Plus, since I live here the gun rugs are of very limited use to me.

Re: Cheap Multi-Tool Evaluation

I think it would be swell if you put the pliers and drivers through a bit of their paces. To see if, for example, the plier teeth will strip out on a stiff Grade 8 bolt, or if the screw drivers will warp if used on slightly non-compliant screws.

If you had a valve for that lower part you could have made yourself a seat too, instead of just a test piece.

Re: WTF Ammo Thread!!!

Crime labs identifying a bullet to a specific gun is fiction. Each time you fire a bullet, the scratch pattern changes because of random deposits in the grooves each time a bullet is fired. Its an exaggeration, but don't let that fact lull you into an exaggerated sense of complacency. Depending on ...

Re: Belt Mounted GSW Kit.

Yeah, I generally just stuff a trauma dressing in my cargo pocket (in this case a 6" Izzy). Especially on duty belts, as you experienced, it sucks when stuff sticks out much past a mag pouch.

I think you can buy 250's from the counter at the pharmacy. I know its not exactly what you wanted, but its something you can walk out with.

Re: Izzy vs OLAES bandages: which to choose?

The flat brick shape of the Izzy means I can carry one in the "mag pouch" inside the Cargo pockets of my 5.11 Blacktikewl Dress Uniform trousers. The OLAES bandage is too round, meaning it was awkward to carry, and so I didn't want to carry it.

So plus one for the Izzy...

Re: Does anyone have an opinion on this gun?

Being me, I would not purchase that weapon on the basis that the cost is very high (to me) for a firearm, and that I know very little about its function or reputation...though I would be interested enough to do some serious footwork on the matter. If I could find it for around 400-450 I would probab...

Gah! sorry, I wrote those things in that stupid authoritative tone that eerks me. In regards to the switch, I have no idea if its L2D-ness don't own one. At the height of dysfunction, where I was having to click 3 or 4 times to get light. I did eventually notice that the retaining ring was loose, I ...

Re: Fenix LD10-R4 review.

The spring tension that holds the clip to the body will slowly degrade with use and even faster if you don and doff the clip frequently. Fenix Gear sells replacements. The special Titanium coating on the clip...will not last very long. It sucks as a hand held strike implement in my border line XL mi...

How did you get it back? I mean, I know how pawning works...I guess I just cant believe that a perfectly good 686 could sit in a shop for a year without being bought. Unless you paid back out the nose for the broker to keep it off the shelf.

Distance questions are fine, but what about terminal energy at distance? You should invest in a cheap leather jacket and a couple of bone in hams to see what your 9 will really do at distance. Realistically if you are firing 200 yards at an armadillo zed who has a .308 what do you think the outcome...

Oddly, the lesson learned here is often the wrong one. Drilling develops a conditioned response, to a specific set of stimulus. Not all those sensory elements are perceived consciously. Something about that situation didn't fit your conditioned response mechanism, and because of that you actually st...

They are going to be crap...I have a similar product that makes similar claims and the way they obtain the function is not great. I would not take their claims too seriously as the product functions primarily on frequency and secondarily on sound pressure level.
