Re: last stand pouch

Am I the only one who thinks a miniature bottle of booze is the wrong way to be going in this situation? Wouldn't it be better to bring one of the oversized bottles with the built in handle, go to town, and be blacked out by the time the zeds started chewing on your tasty humanflesh?

Vitamin Deficiencies

Some of the information on vitamin deficiencies is elsewhere in here, but I thought it might be nice to get a collection going. I'll start with what I've got. MayoClinic.com says the signs of vitamin deficiency anemia are: * Pale skin * Sore mouth and tongue * Shortness of breath * Loss of appetite ...

Re: Home distillation of alcohol fuel (theory/experimentation)

Just a thought, for those of you crunching the numbers, but another "cost" is your time spent keeping this going. It's a fun project (I've done some distillation myself), but in terms of if you can turn apples into fuel for the truck, you'd probably get a higher productivity when all is said and don...

Re:

The first was when I was a teenager, spending the night at my church for a youth group overnight thing. We were having a squirt gun war, with big plastic pistols, and I knew how to get on the church roof. I got up there so I could rain streams of water down on the enemies, but a neighbor called the...

Couldn't say for sure how I first ran across the site... I probably stumbled upon it after googleing something about zombies and survival.

Greetings

Hey all, I've been lurking on these boards for a few months now, and decided it was time to register. I'm a student, so I'm in Seattle, WA for the summers, and Ohio for the rest of the year. My interests lie in Self Sufficient Living, Post Apocalyptic Survival, and Post-TEOTWAWKI Society. My friend ...
