OK somehow I screwed up when ordering and ended up with two. I want to sell the second one at cost $32.00, I will pay shipping to CONUS. This is new still in the plastic. I'm also willing to trade if you want to make an offer. I'm looking for more Maxpedition gear so keep that in mind, an FR-1 in OD...

Re: cyber attack?

I would disagree with the statement "our national internal technology levels are still in the stone-age" Our encryption levels are higher than other countries thats why its illegal to distribute OS's to foreign countries. I'm sure there are still some smuggled out, but I dont think these other count...

Q "What are you carrying in your purse" [snicker snicker] A "The balls of every jerk that laughed at it!" I used to get jokes about wearing a camo jacket to work. When I explained that... "My militia is on field maneuvers this week and Im required to wear at least one piece of camo clothing..." Im a...

Re: Maxpedition Jumbo

Sorry I didn't post to this earlier. I got my Jumbo through Equippage- good people to work with... I think I will post a review, my experience was very good as well but there are some comments I would like to make and tell them how to improve and some well deserved kudos for a job well done. I was ...

Re: Usable, reliable keychain-sized compass?

a compass is like a gun with iron sights. with iron sights the greater the distance between, the more accurate. with a compass the longer the needle, the better the bearing, liquid dampening, the larger the dial... it all adds up to accurracy. with a compass you have a much bigger and more distant t...

Re: Spools of gold or silver wire or chain for trade currency?

During the civil war if you attempted to buy a piece of bread with confederate money they would lay the bill on a slice and cut around the edge. Thats what I think it would be like in a SHTF world. "Sure thats a nice gold coin... but I can't make change so you'll have to trade even for a gallon of g...

Re: Bugging out with your Identity

cosmic I think that falls right in with the topic. Protecting important papers is about protecting who we are what we value. Great replies guys! While I had most of the documents gathered I have learned a great deal and I'm changing some methods of protecting these documents. For parents of small ch...

Re: Bugging out with your Identity

Ironraven caught on to one of my major concerns and that is security. Looking through the lists of items thats a gold mine for someone engaging in identity theft. Which is why I was thinking E copies. it seems the only other option is to keep them on my person with my EDC. E copies would be difficul...

Bugging out with your Identity

OK so your putting together your bug-out bag. You've got all your modular kits together. What about the important documents? and how do you secure them, just in case someone steals it? What documents do you have in your bag? reasonings? How do you secure the package? I was thinking of scanned copies...

Re: My first 911 call - a must read for those with spouse/kids

Thanks, a good idea, klenzer! Haven't car thieves figured that one out, though? Just asking, kinda paranoid since I keep all my best stuff in the car (it's ALWAYS in a reasonable distance, so...). If your car is equipped with a chip (this is available on most models these days) then they cant steal...

Re: LEAD INGOTS CREATED! Woot! Pictures!

when you start molding bullets, "smoke" your molds first and the bullets will drop free easier. to do this just use a lighter to scorch the inside surface of the molds so they turn black if you want some really hard bullets find the linotype and cast pure linotype bullets. BTW I have a lee rifle mol...

Re: Bugging Out to Wal-Mart, Costco, Sams Club: No!

Instead of going to Wally World or Costco, why not go to the local NG Armory?
MREs and lots of guns and ammo, they might even welcome you in if you ask real nice!

Seriously I'm all for bugging "In" and when / if conditions justify it go scavenging at warehouses.
