Re: My girlfriend could kick your girlfriend's ass

You're a sick individual, and I'm jealous of your lifestyle :) Only because you don't know how LITTLE writers earn. The AVERAGE freelance writer earns $5000 per annum. That includes J.K. Rowling at $87 million, and Clancy and King at several million each. But I have learned it's possible to have to...

Heh. My daughter was featured in Concealed Carry Magazine this month, on an article about women with guns. She's 8. She was posing with her M4. She wanted to show her picture off to her friends. I asked through channels. The principal about SHIT, but was very polite and just said it was "not appropr...

The only time ammo supply becomes a problem is if there is a GLOBAL disaster. (BTW, I'm new, what is PAW? SHTF, TEOTWAWKI or similar, I assume?) Any regional/continental disaster just means importing ammo from Russia or China, much like we do now in large part anyway. If there is a global disaster, ...

Even when it slips, it would have to be at a precise and unlikely angle to actually create a tsunami that could cross at the proper angle to focus on the Eastern Seaboard, and would have to catch conducive currents to avoid being disrupted over that distance. So yeah, it COULD happen, but I'd be a l...

Re: My girlfriend could kick your girlfriend's ass

Mike, I haven't checked the Bar recently, was she able to get the whole leave thing taken care of ?? Wasn't leave, it was delay between graduation, passing APFT, then amended orders to cover the intervening time that had to go through Garrison instead of USASSD or DINFOS, which were STILL wrong and...

Re: My girlfriend could kick your girlfriend's ass

OK, so I was inspired to start this thread based off of the "who would you take, friends, family girlfriend" thread posted below. I notice that it's kind of a mixed bag when deciding to take your significant other. So, I thought I would start a thread where you savages could brag about the bad ass ...

I think the purpose of the short bayos I'm seeing on compact shotguns and pistols is like the serrations on my muzzle brake, or on the caps of Surefire and similar flashlights. It stops the shambling dead from grabbing the muzzle.

I want a bayonet lug on my revolver now!

Easy enough. Standard 6"? I've done replacement recoil spring plugs for 1911s that mount bayonets.

Ironically, that's now a factory option from CZ. Bastards.

Got given a Beretta 92. I detest how it feels and handles. Sold it for $300. Going to replace it with a new Taurus revolver for my wife. Apart from that, I never sell anything. I've got a 1931 model 31 in 16 gauge, a 1916 SMLE with matching numbers, lever actions, double barrels, single barrels, a S...

If I can fit that, I can fit one to a chainsaw. :D  What bayonet is that? It looks like a pattern '07 with hooked quillion, but different. 1914 Swiss Engineer's bayonet for the Schmidt-Rubin. I cut the pommel, milled a new mount from 4140 and forged a new guard from 5160. It also fits ...

If they don't, I have epoxy paint and a machine shop.

I personally have had fine luck with Olympic and have handled three Bushies that were all unrelenting pieces of crap. There are good and bad from every major mfr. Pick whichever works for you. Right now I'm getting a deal from Armalite and using those. Forged receivers are to be preferred for streng...

If the tip scruffs, especially on a lite 45 grain bullet, the bullet won't fly worth a damn. While hunting, if I see even a knick on the tip I throw the bullet away. I'd rather waste a $0.75 bullet than cripple what I'm shooting at. That being said, nothing hits like a ballistic tip IMO. Wow, can y...

Well yes, but those are the Potsies I had in mind.

Start with A Hymn Before Battle. I also hope you don't have anything to do tonight :)
Posties. Not potsies. Potsies are nerds on Happy Days.

Though in The Hero, I referred to them as Posies.

Yes ,the Davey Crockett was real. It was moved out of inventory because you were in range of fallout of if warhead when launched. The Army also discovered that all infantry Officers would use it in battlefield conditions. That's why the Army and USMC don't get nukes. We would use them! I've heard t...

Actually, it's my introduction, but I like that phrase and I love my boomstick. One of my fans introduced me to the site, and my only question is, why don't I see more arsenals with chainsaws? They are an ideal way to disable zombies while putting out enough noise that other team members can find yo...

Browning went on a rampage against someone posting thumbnail links and resources, because they didn't like the suggestion that Browning pistols were appropriate for killing zombies and other threats. Apparently, Brownings are only useful against paper targets. so ...

Don't be dissing the EoTech. I can take it use it on my carbine to shoot 2" groups at 50 yards, switch it to the 870 and shoot 4" groups with slugs, and switch it back again without having to adjust it.

Cheap. Ugly. Muzzle heavy. Can be abused like a left-handed, red-headed stepchild and come back for more. Running around $125 around here.
