The reason you don't see books from the rest of us is because Ringo is choking Baen with his hastily scrawled ramblings.;-)

But I did just contract a new book.

It has a high body count.

No zombies are involved.

Yet.

Yes, the Madison one was in the papers.

I doubt it's archived. It was about 8-10 years ago.

Thats the best excuse I've heard in a while. The best one I ever heard here was University of Wisconsin, Madison, where a kid got pulled over and blew a .20. He was told he was under arrest for DUI and pondered how that was possible since he hadn't had a drink in a week (though he admitted he HAD h...

The Canadian Forces are VERY badass.

Pity they can't get a better budget from Ottawa.

But if they need to retreat, Camp Atterbury has plenty of space, friendly local homes and looooots of ammo.

We even know Canadian ranks when we see them.

98% of forefights are at ranges under 300 meters. It was decided by the US Army in the 1950s to switch to a round effective at that range, so as to more than DOUBLE the basic combat load. Would you rather shoot 100 zombies, or 240 zombies? At 300 meters, and a bit more, 5.56 is lethal. If you don't ...

12 gauge slug. 5000 foot pounds. Front of head. Brain go squish and splash. Eyes no longer work.

About as much good as one sandwich, one gallon of gas, or one pair of boots. Not much, but it's better to have it than not. My point is, when there's limited amounts of a resource, it's value becomes GREATER, not less. I think I'd rather have any of them than one bullet and a heavy gun I can't use ...

You know, if there is only one bullet and one rifle left, I want to be the one who has it. So you can die a clean death? Or is there some special person? I know, you can't even joke about that here. But I'm wondering what good one bullet is. Now, the last full magazine would be a good enough threat.

Machinists and ammunition reloaders will be worshipped as gods in the PAW. You would be welcomed in any survivor group, I would think. The 1632 forums at Baen's Bar have entire threads on this. Concept of the stories is that a WV mining town was transported through time back to the Thirty Years War...

Even when it slips, it would have to be at a precise and unlikely angle to actually create a tsunami that could cross at the proper angle to focus on the Eastern Seaboard, and would have to catch conducive currents to avoid being disrupted over that distance. I am not quite sure where you learned y...

You're a sick individual, and I'm jealous of your lifestyle :) Only because you don't know how LITTLE writers earn. The AVERAGE freelance writer earns $5000 per annum. That includes J.K. Rowling at $87 million, and Clancy and King at several million each. But I have learned it's possible to have to...

The only time ammo supply becomes a problem is if there is a GLOBAL disaster. (BTW, I'm new, what is PAW? SHTF, TEOTWAWKI or similar, I assume?) Any regional/continental disaster just means importing ammo from Russia or China, much like we do now in large part anyway. If there is a global disaster, ...
