the P90 has one reported serious flaw. If you drop a partially loaded magazine, or the gun with a partially loaded magazine, rounds will go flying, get disoriented in the magazine and seriously jam the mechanism. Granted, that's from HK's site, but it makes sense from my handling of it. I DON'T lik...

2. The BATF has some rule about owning an AR-15 and "machine gun parts ." Is this AR-15 specific, or would they try to shaft you for owning a PS-90 and a short barrel, if they weren't assembed? The auto sear is the controlled item. You MAY own an M16 firing pin, hammer, trigger, disconnector, bolt ...

actually the magazine set up is quite good. show me another 50 rd magazine that is anywear near that compact. you just think its wierd, and it is, but it does work well. It's impossible to put a larger magazine in. You must lower the weapon from sight plane to reload. It snaps in under the sight ra...

Hahaha how did this turn into a second amendment issue? As far as my opinion on the second amendment, it's the job of the Supreme Court to decide our government's views on our constitution, not me, a 21yo student. Also, I love how people point to the second amendment when any gun regulation issue. ...

http://www.remtek.com/arms/fn/p90/index.htm Lots of good information. I beleive the P90's ss190 can defeat level IIIA armor quite easily. The design of the bullet allows for it to penetrate body armor, and tumbles when it hits flesh. This "tumbling" isn't as effective as say, a fragmentation effect...

My understanding of this gun is that it was designed for use by mounted officers specifically for shooting through body armor (special shell type). If I were them, I don't think I'd want this gun getting to the public either. Where do you get this stuff? It's a glorified sidearm for support ...

Huh, how is a University different from anywhere else??? So why would the usual CCW laws not apply there as anywhere else? In just about every state (excpet Vermont I think) you have to have some sort of Permit to carry a firearm if you even are allowed to. I, personally do not agree with these sil...

Just because a website doesn't state their information is copyrighted, one should assume it is (especially after reading the #5 subsection. Re: Regarding skull crushing/concussion wounding.

I've been "about" to order one for about a year now. You can get an excellent, handmade to order one for $35-50, They're illegal most places firearms are restricted, but I retail them comfortably at $12 where they're allowed. By all means support a local craftsman, but you won't be getting a better...

One can actually make black powder quite easily, I am told. I have also heard that saltpeter can be obtained from letting feces and urine material breakdown, and it will appear as crystalized form. It's a bit more complex than that, but blackpowder, whitepowder (Artillery propellant) and nitrocellu...

I personally like the way several african nations dealt with drunk drivers in the 80's. The pulled drive out and shot him/her. No repeat offenders! Turkey requires a trial. After conviction, it's a lengthy hike back to town under police escort. If you imagine the cops picked for this are the kind s...

I'd say the worst case scenario would be breech loaders using paper or cardboard rounds. That is a level of technology which could easily be accomplished in the paw. Yup, single shot 12 gauge. As long as I've got steel I can make them. Lead and powder, paper and a small amount of brass for hull bas...

Caseless ammo shouldn't be hard to figure out- Caseless ammo is a brass plated bitch. Except it's not brass plated. The concept has been around for 80 years, and only recently made workable. It requires very precise amounts of priming and binder. In fact, caseless ammo is a reality-the H&K G11 was ...
