Re: eye sight and optics issues
every time i go to the doctor it has gotten worse so they always strengthen my one good eye which is my left as i mostly see through my left as it is. i can see clear through a scope, red dots are starbursts at times but can see. im due to get new oakleys since i can get wraps now i believe so more ...

Re: eye sight and optics issues
Are you in your late 30's or older? How are you with reading small print? I always needed glasses to see far away. I think I got my first pair of glasses in 3rd grade. my eyesight was not horrible, but I needed glasses to read the chalkboard, or to read signs for driving. Still, as long as I was we...

Re: eye sight and optics issues
Slick I have a long eye relief 1-4x with QD mount laying around. Get used to leftie manipulation, and when we link up I will bring the millet and you can try it out. If you like it we can work something out since I do not have a current use for it. I have a bit of cross eye dominance as well, but h...

Re: eye sight and optics issues
Okay, if you shoot fine at 35m I suggest shooting more and get used to your vision. I'm going to say you really don't need to shoot further. I'm not sure what you intend to do with this rifle? Self defense, 35m is more than adequate to cover the majority of threats. Range fun? Shoot at 35m. I would...

Re: eye sight and optics issues
So, you can shoot at 35 yds but can't see the iron sights on the AR-15 in front of your face? You're saying you can't see irons on a rifle but you can see the sights on a pistol? IF you're shooting well at 35 yds, why not practice there? Just trying to figure out what's going on here. With my left ...

Re: fix my rifle!
If you can't see at 100 yds a scope my not be that much of a help. If your right eye is jacked up and you don't want to run the rifle left handed, running a 1x4 on the right isn't going to help. If you can't focus on irons the obvious solution would be one focal plane sighting system which would be...

Re: fix my rifle!
Starting my own thread about fixing my rifle. I am right handed but am left eye dominant since the vision in my right eye is getting worse and just my overall eye sight in general is dropping. I have tried shooting left handed and it' does not work too well unless I make my rifle ambidextrous. I am...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.
i need training :gonk: Since my right eye was explosively removed, I shoot cross-eye. For that reason I need about 1" of elevation over the rail. I usually use a 1/2" x 4" YHM rail section and then mount my EOTech on a 5/8" riser above it. That said, I'll use anything that works and I vary it based ...
