Re: Southern AZ gun show meetup?

Normally, I would jump at the chance to hang with fellow ZSers; however, a CCW class at Caswell's that weekend is already paid for. Maybe I'll come down at the later show. Any other PHX guys want to car pool then?

7x Cat Turniquet 7 TQ's? Jim I know I know I miss spelled it I forgot the o ;). In any case yes there are seven of them no that is not a typo. I think what he's trying to question is... Why do you need/think you need 7 TQs? I can only foresee 1 reason for more than 2 in one kit and thats due to you...

Re: Army pulls anti-clotting agent (Wound-Stat)

I could have sworn I've been saying all along that QC is a horrible addition to a PAW FAK for the very reason the Army is pulling Wound-stat. Some may think its God's gift to medics but when there is a very real possibility of instant PE's, discretion must be used when reaching for it. NOTE: My opin...

Come on Y.T., being from/in the desert we know better than to waste precious water holding space on a gun. I'll just find another place to keep my CW.

Re: irrigation

Just a quick observation/question. Where can one purchase bags of saline, sans license? I might have passed over it, but just in case it wasn't posted. I checked Chinook and found this but it says it requires a license.

Re: Walther P22 vs. Ruger MKIII

I think I can sum up the argument for both sides with experience owning both (at some point in time)... go with the P22 if all you ever plan to shoot is CCI minimags and go with the MK II/III if you want to shoot the cheapest ammo out there. Also, if you go for the P22, don't jump for the comp model...

If you're gonna go, go big!

.700 Nitro Express by H&H. However, good luck finding one. Otherwise, I would go with a Remmy 74/7600 in 30-06.

X-Mas Gift to Myself

I gots me a new gun! Sig 239 in .40 S&W. Stock pistol, no bells and whistles that could have come with it. Although I did pick up a Hogue for it, making the grip 100% more comfortable. I shot it a couple hours after the purchase (HURRAY non-CA handgun laws) and had to change my pants. 4.4 lbs of pul...

Re: Small Arms Review Gun Show Dec 5,6,7 - Arizona Fair Grounds

After careful consideration, I probably will not be purchasing firearms at this show... primarily because the USAF will take another week to send me my DITY compensation (or the other $5k they owe me). However, I will be the guy in khaki cargos and the ZS official polo with the brunette in the OD ba...

Whoops... I'm talking beer afterwards... not firearms. Although I will probably be getting some of those for the wife and myself.

Re: Help me decide on my concealed pistol.

Ok, update... I haven't bought the pistol yet but I will absolutely be buying the PPS. I rented a 9mm (I still plan on buying the .40)from the local store/range and completely fell in love with that gun. It literally fits in my pocket, handles recoil exceptionally well for its size, and, once sighte...

Pick yourself up one of these Remmy 7400s. Price is around $520-$630 at Impact Arms.

Edit for model correction (7600 pump to 7400 auto)

Re: Help me decide on my concealed pistol.

Once again, thanks for all the advice. Now the question is, where to conceal the pistol? I'm thinking either on the small of my back in the pants (strong-side draw), strong-side hip, or strong-side ankle. I would like to stay away from cross-body draw set-ups because I sort of feel like that would m...

Help me decide on my concealed pistol.

I need to decide on which pistol I will buy for when I get my CWP/CCW. I have narrowed it down to a Walther PPS or P99C, mainly because the Walther selection of pistols fit my hands perfectly. Both weapons have a .40S&W variant, which will be the caliber of choice when it comes to making the purchas...
