This is not "mala in se" (bad in and of itself)
Still to this day, I get the two mixed up. (shakes head).

Re: The Coming Civil War - (Warning: No Politics)

This story seemed relevant: Federal Officers Use Unmarked Vehicles To Grab People In Portland, DHS Confirms - 3 min audio at the webpage. This one freaked me out a bit. As long as due process is followed and folks get a lawyer at the police station, I'm sorta ok with this. But it smells and feels a...

Re: "Daily COVID-19 SITREP In Your Area"

I went grocery shopping today in the far northwest of the continental US. Some shelves were a little light, but nothing was out of stock. No limits on anything. I was able to restock most of the meat I've used in the last 2 months. Beef seemed priced on the high side to me for this time of year, bu...

Re: The Coming Civil War - (Warning: No Politics)

This one freaked me out a bit. As long as due process is followed and folks get a lawyer at the police station, I'm sorta ok with this. But it smells and feels a lot like kidnapping or a midnight IRA or SAS snatch. I'm suspecting they are having a hard time getting local police to help. I'd much ra...

You? Didn't? Call??? :(
I was on drugs. I puked multiple times in the car. I had 2 crying children. And while the 2 adults were not crying, I can admit we thought about it. It was a rough trip. We might move close to the area. I'll keep you posted on how/if that develops.
ok

From The Des Moines Register : Iowa new gun permits soar following George Floyd's death, Black Lives Matter protests I'm not surprised, and I don't think anyone is. Iowa is pretty chill, but the rioting here, and elsewhere, is freaking us out. I was in Iowa recently, and the gun counter guy was tel...

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

I'd like a 96/357 instead of a .44. Ruger makes a 77/357. A Redhawk in .357 to top everything off.

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

Speaking of lever actions, Ruger also made a lever action .22 magnum that I think used 10/22 type mags. I think it was the 96/22M. I know they made a .17HMR 10/22, but had to stop and recall all the guns because the receivers were cracking. They also made a .22 magnum 10/22, but I forget why they s...

Re: Coin shortage?

I guess you can blame me for the coin shortage, I have seen the outside of far too many drive-thru windows. I keep one of those 12 oz or so plastic picnic cups in one cup holder, and any change from the drive-thru goes in that. When it starts to fill up I take the cup inside and dump the contents i...

Re: Firearms CHAT: [insert chat title here]

Give Ruger a couple years and they'll bring out a new version like they did with the PC carbine. Didn't Ruger used to make a semi-auto .44 mag carbine ? The Deerfield I think is what it was called. They did. The Model 44 chambered in 44 Mag. It was a great gun for hunting on the move and home defen...
