Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

I re-did my GHB & BOB for winter. Added watch caps, gloves, long johns in the BOB. I'm not satisfied with my results. I *need* way to much stuff. This is not TEOTW of anything, but it is a setback. This is why I got the van in the 1st place. I haven't even covered my CPAP, Nebulizer, or PaleFace. Be...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

Hey all: It wasn't a hot day at the range & I was firing from under a canopy, so no direct sunight. The Taurus was NIB. The ammo was standard .38 spcl, no mag rounds. I haven't tried any brass or nickel rounds. I'm going to order to brass ammo & see what happens. I'll report back. Thank you everyone...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

The Taurus does not care for steel-case ammo. :( That is too bad. That stuff is nice and cheap. Did you try steel cased .357 or steel .38? What sort of issues are you having with steel cased ammo in your Taurus? Are the cases sticking or do they not fit or what's up? Tula .38 Special. The cases mee...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

The Taurus does not care for steel-case ammo. :( A lot of revolvers don't like steel. Are they getting stuck in all six chambers, or just one or two? I couldn't plunge the extractor so all six were still in the cylinder. I stopped shooting for the day :vmad: & came home where I used the table inste...

Re: So, how are you keeping your pants up when carrying?

I've been wearing a 5-year postal bet since Jr. High. I got some suspensers from the Suspender Store. They clip to the belt loops which is not a good long-term solution, imo.

In some sort of collapse I would not expect all milks to be pasturized. Something to be aware of.
What would be the effect(s)?

Re: Climate Changes

The world has repeatedly had periods of far higher temperatures, far lower temperatures, for more CO2, and far less CO2. The world didn't end. But the results of these changes would certainly shatter modern civilization. The world doesn't have to end to suck. History is full of civilizations that t...

Re: Rising Tensions in the Persian Gulf

Mixed luck: the world currently has quite a surplus of oil stockpiled at the moment. When SA anounced repairs to their facilities would be done in 10 weeks, everyone I work with laughed hysterically at that nonsense. They will still be assessing damage in 10 weeks. Some of that equipment has a one ...
