A Buckmark was the first pistol I've ever purchased. I picked it up to learn proper stance, and grip before moving onto something a bit more serious (ie. my Glock 17). It's also the only gun I can get my wife to shoot; everything else is just too uncomfortable in terms of recoil for her to handle. W...

Yeah, I picked up my M38 from Big 5 two years ago for about $75. Only problem is, the surplus ammo I picked from Aim Surplus is 'magnetic' and none of the ranges around here allow steel-cored ammo. I've got 500 rounds just sitting around gathering dust. :(

Team Fortress 2 (Orange Box)

Any players out there? If so, what server and when do you play? I'm on the west coast, and can usually be found playing between 8 - 11 PM PST.

If you have CS: Source, the following are two of the more popular zombie mods. In Zombie Mod, one of the players randomly turns into the zombie -- their job then is to go around infecting everyone else. Zombie Horde has stopped development, but there are still servers running it. In ZH, it's players...

Given the potential range of wifi with the right setup, that is a really good idea. Here's a link to a blog entry of a guy who was able to establish a very usable wifi link to his base-station 26 miles away with a $70 antenna. http://sci-toys.com/attention/2006/03/long-distance-wifi.html Amateur rad...

So here is a question, what happens if the dollar continues its nose dive, general effects, and when do you guys punch out of your paper investments and go with tangibles whether it’s something like silver or something more practical like guns, ammo, and magazines. I plan to do absolutely nothing; ...

It is currently 136,475.00 USD per share. BRK is a holding company that buys into other companies that are undervalued or overlooked. You could track what they buy and buy shares in those companies. There may even be a mutual fund that does that. You're quoting the 'A' share; 'B' shares are a bit m...

Take the Warren Buffet approach. +1 And for those who can afford the shares, BRK.B has been on a tear, up over 25% so far this year. This is partially due to the fact that the dreaded hurricane season never materialized (they're big in insurance and re-insurance), but I also think that in times of ...

G-Shock Cell Phone?

Anyone have experience with this particular model phone? Waterproof, shock-proof, built-in GPS, camera flash doubles as LED light, bluetooth -- seems like a useful tool to have around. Only gripes would be that it's currently Verizon only, and lacks EVDO. http://www.infosyncworld.com/reviews/n/7964....

Re: XO Laptop

Is this the same as the $100 laptop from Negroponte? Where is the crank? They ditched the crank for practicality reasons, but replaced it with the option of using a solar charger or a pull-cord. Check out the link below for a hands-on test of the recharging options. http://www.laptopmag.com/Feature...

Wasn't this program under fire? I mean kids in Africa/S. America/SE Asia need food, water, and basic medical supplies a hell of a lot more than they need to be able to check out porn and ZeFrank's latest rant. I'm tempted to buy some more [ESS Advancer V-12] (while they're cheap) and have a go at modding them to forced air like the TurboFan series. Where are you finding these? The cheapest price I've found is $100, including on Ebay, which is a good bit more than the $42 you quoted earlier. I've been lus...
