Re: good starter tool set for home and auto use ?
The difficulty you have for getting tools for both home and auto use it that most stuff around the home is inch and most auto stuff metric, so you really need two sets. I like many have a lot of Craftsman, I'd buy some here and there on sale. Truck has a set of basic screwdrivers, set of wrenches an...

hmm, I'm using unique in 9mm, looks like it may be decent for .357 as well. I'll have to test some.

I use chirp myself as well. There can still be driver issues with win/mac. Popular USB to serial chips are often copied and the original makers try to put copy/counterfit detection in their drivers, but those can even have false positives and refuse to work even with legit chips. There are some boot...

You can do similar with other manufacturers, for example: https://www.hodgdon.com/titegroup/ then there is a list of calibers to choose from. There are also online databases like http://www.ammoguide.com/ I've consolidated this from the Hodgdon site for a high level Hodgdon Target Light Duty Medium ...

page 11 for example http://www.alliantpowder.com/resources/catalog/2017/2017_alliant_powder.pdf I found a reference for Hodgdon once before but can't find it again. But anyway the data doesn't show the recommended use for each powder so that takes more research. You could use power pistol for 9mm, ....

I still know people who live that way. I was born and raise in WV and still have relatives who have never used the internet, don't have a mobile phone, etc. If you have never had it you don't know your missing it.

Also more people are getting diagnosis. I know many people a generation or two older than I that should have had a diagnosed mental disorder but never went to the doctor unless it was a sickness alcohol couldn't cure. So there were a lot of undiagnosed back in the day.

Re: To reload or not to reload, that is the question
economical or not, I reloaded to learn how to reload. Around 2015 everywhere started limiting 9mm and .22 to two boxes, then after a month or two there was none available. I was making weekly trips to Cabela's (one opened near me and wasn't far out of the way on the drive home from work). So I start...

I think the initial thought is like the 'leave your car unlocked so they won't break the window'. If you try to stop looting you'll just start a riot and instead of the end result being an empty store you'll have a burned down store. The building probably is worth more than the contents so they want...

The BOB should be near where you spend the most time at home. For most people thats probably the by the bed. The main scenario here is the while sleeping house fire where you may be cut off from other rooms and can only evac out the bedroom window so you want some sort of BOB you can grab and go. A ...

The tagalong trailer project is on the back burner, mainly because I can't find my spare cargo racks but I am hopeful I can answer that question one way or another soon. There are lot of reloaders who cast their own so it wouldn't be unbelievable for them to find reloading gear and casting tools too. I just finished off the last of my Berry's round nose and started on the target hollow point. Going to run factory self defense across the chrony and then make some loa...

The electrical conduit section of Lowes or Homeboy Depot you'll find lots of nice clamps, if you zoom in on my pics you'll see one holding the rack to the trailer bike seat back. ok, crude drawing time :) https://s20.postimg.org/rlasdj3y5/RU43la_F.jpg Make an A frame with the top of the A having a c...

Bought three thorn-resistant tubes for my mountain bike, one for each wheel and one for a spare. I bought it used a few years ago and don't know how old the tubes are. Going to make sure its 100% ready if needed. Plan to swap them out this weekend.

Re: Building a Bug Out Cart for fun and profit
I'm probably overstating the balance issue, it is only more tippy compared to the previous cart, not really that tippy in general. I would still like it to be less tippy, hence buying a narrower rack. I won't lower the panniers below the axle if I can help it as I don't want to give up ground clear...

Any way to lower the panniers? Right now it looks like the are completely above the axle, if you could get part of the weight below the axle that would help with balance.
