Re: Molle pouch for 25 round 308 pmags?

Has anyone come across a decent off the shelf / inexpensive molle pouch which will securely hold large ( 308 PMAG 25 round sr25 ) magazines? I've spent a decent amount of time searching, and it seems the closest fit the internet turns up is saiga 12 10-round mag pouches. ( none had the features im ...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

Really not trying to be a dick, but..why? At some point enough is enough. I have 50+ and don't really intend on buying more. I'd buy ammo instead. Magazines are a consumable item, just like ammo. Unlike ammo, they're a multiple use consumable, but they do wear out. You can never have enough. I have...

Anyone here have, or at least have a good amount of experience with the Kel-Tec PTA3? (.380 compact) I might be trading a pile of stuff I don't need for one. I understand that many folks wrote it off as unreliable, but others insist that once you go through the break in period there's nothing wrong...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

Since is just realized that I can hunt with a suppressor in my state, I've been tossing around the idea of a 300blk build. Keeping a total barrel length of just over 16", what's the best Supressor/Barrel combo? Meaning I would want to do something like a fixed monolithic type and only go with one s...

Not to incite a panic, but what is this I am hearing about the ATF is going to make AR and AK pistols into NFA items? I think I heard a timeframe of November for them to decide or announce their decision. I didn't hear anything about that, they're pending a regulation reinterpretation due around th...

What's everyone using for AR lubrication? Been thinking of switching to a grease, but recommendations jump between high end synthetics to motor oil. All of the above work. I've just started messing around with Fireclean, but I've used MilTec 1 and TW-25B grease for a long time and never had any iss...

The Peter's Custom Spada is a great holster, you won't regret it if you go with that. Works very well on belt loops or on a MOLLE battle belt. Is there an optic-friendly Safariland that's also light compatible? You know...just incase... I know I've seen an RMR-equipped Glock riding in one of the ALS series, and I think it had a light as well, but fuck if I can remember where I saw it. It may have required some modification to fit the RMR.

I would NOT recommend KT Mech, I purchased one of their holsters for my brother-in-law's FNP-9 as a Christmas present and the fit was terrible. Loose enough that the gun fell out when the holster was turned upside down, even with the retention screw fully tightened. There are a lot of options for go...

Mine was an H&R Model 922, 9-shot .22 LR revolver. Butt-ugly thing, as you can see.

Loved it, though. Gift from my dad when I was 13, I think.

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

What's the current favorite for SD pistol ammo (specifically in .45ACP, if it makes a difference)? Federal HST 230-grain (standard pressure) does everything I want a .45 ACP to do and is currently pretty easy to find. SGAmmo has 50-round boxes and 1000-round cases for about .65 cents a round (.63 f...

For a fun gun, I'd go with the 10.5" Nitride. I just bought the 11.5" version, I'm confident that Nitride will stand up to CHF for most practical purposes. On a fighting gun, maybe it'd make a difference, but not a range toy.

I just bought an 11.5" upper with a Melonite-finished barrel for $299, with BCG and charging handle. I'm not 100% about the durability of Melonite compared to a CHF chrome-lined barrel, but for that price it's too good to pass up. I keep seeing those. Holler with your impressions.
