Re: California: Ukiah shoot n' meet - pushed back to Sep

 Aw crap, I didn't know I was holding things up! I'm not incarcerated or hurt, thanks for the concern :D I'm ready to do a campout any weekend this month. Brendan, I got a new phone, which is why I haven't been returning texts. (I'll PM you my new number.) Cow Mountain is BLM land, and huntin...

Why all the hate for MSG? It comes from seaweed, you know. Corn syrup is way worse for you and far less delicious. :D

Re: California chapter-statewide or regional?

What date is Bay to Breakers? Is it too late to register? I was planning on going just to drink in Golden Gate Park, but participating would be fun too 8) B2B was this past weekend. Aw crap. :( I hate missing an opportunity to head down to the city and drink in Golden Gate Park. Oh well, I'll drive...

Re: It all starts with a gallon of gas...

The 13 horse was the bigger one of the two tillers they offered and it cost around $125 for a single day's rent. The smaller one was 5 horses but the tines would have bounced right off my compacted clay soil. I actually noticed a sign on the wall while I was in Hertz stating that if you rent on Frid...

Re: Had a Deputy's Gun Pointed at Me Tonight @ Home

It took me this long to read the thread and your 24 hour challenge! Surely if this Firefly was so excellent, there would be a trilogy by now, hmm? All epic stories have trilogies. And montages. Even Rocky had a montage. Super Ten-year-old Plus One Internet Point to the Rogue Squadron series. I had a...

Re: California chapter-statewide or regional?

Well, we should definitely do Bay 2 Breakers next year for a charity event!! That would be cool and we will have a reason to dress up for no reason in the summer time!! lol And a reason to put on banana costumes and push around shopping carts with kegs in them. That's charity, right? Making homeles...

...and a trip to Hertz, to rent a 13 horsepower rototiller. I spent all day today tilling my ~20'x~30' garden plot, where I will soon move all my vegetable starts, which have been indoors under HPS light for months. Pictures are coming soon, seeing as I'm too tired and have already taken my boots of...

Re: California chapter-statewide or regional?

We can totally pull off being ZS:California Chapter with NorCal and SoCal subgroups. I don't think there are enough people in Central California to constitute their own subgroup, but if there are then please chime in. To clear things up I live near Ukiah, about 120 miles north of SF. If a Bay Area r...

Re: Solar Device that can charge device with M Car Power Adapter

They make 12v trickle charger solar panels, but I don't know if you could wire it directly to your adapter. You'd probably need a car battery and the female cigarette lighter/12v battery clamp adapter for it. Check Home Depot or Lowe's for 12v solar stuff.

I've been told that if you can fit a U.S. dime through the choke, that it is safe to shoot 1 oz. slugs through.

Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Re: A choice, Chevy, or Toyota?

I owned an '86 Toyota 2wd truck with the 22r engine. I had to wreck it bad enough to bend the frame to finally kill it. I currently own an '85 Chevy Blazer, which has been in the shop for months. The wheel bearings, differential, and axles all decided to shit the bed at the same time. I just bought ...

Re: SF Bay Area Get Together (early June, the 5th??)

ow if you ever go to the Ruby Room or Radio in downtown Oakland, load up. For reals. I'm not joking. Cool spots, but the area is not. Those areas aren't too bad either. If you want sketchy areas of Oakland, I'll be your tour guide some time. I prefer the Tenderloin in SF. Smells like piss and enter...

Re: Copy Cat recipes for things you'll miss in a PAW

I've heard that KFC's eleven secret herbs and spices are salt, black pepper, and MSG. I experimented with the deep fryer and discovered that pressure cooked chicken with those three spices in the batter taste pretty identical to what you get from KFC.

Hooray for MSG! :D

I have one and it has worked great so far. Must have just gotten a bad one. I don't know if $1.15 is worth it to you, but contact CountyComm and tell them what happened, even direct them to this thread, and see if they will replace it.

Not going to be able to make the range tomorrow. I got my van running but I still need to work out a few kinks before I take it on an extended trip.

Glad to see we are finally getting something off the ground though. When's our next event?

Re: SF Bay Area Get Together (mid May Range Day? and early June)

I was in SF on the 5th, and got caught up not making it across the bay. Argh! I'm on board for a range trip, as long as it's not someplace with a bunch of rules. I prefer shooting at remote state land sites. If you guys are into a 120 mile drive, Cow Mountain outside of Talmage, CA is perfect for a ...
