Re: Hello from the wastelands of Kansas...

Welcome from...Newton! Yeah I work in Newton, went to the zombie fest a year or so ago. So who knows, might of ran into each other before, or we could already know each other? Small town and all that  Always good to have another local. It's seeming like we might have enough interested people fi...

Re: How do you find a good BOL?

I live not too far from you OCR. Used to live in Newton, and now live up by Marion Reservoir (still work in Newton though). My bol locations are as others said, friends and family. But buying a piece of land isn't as expensive as you might think. One of my friends bought a parcel of land, no big acr...

Re: What are you playing?

What is everyone's name in BF3? I go by Rubic13, buddy me up. And Czechnology, all I have to say is that the bigger maps makes it a lot better. Hopefully they come out with a demo of operation firestorm or something of that like. Or did you get a chance to play caspian boarders on the weekend? If yo...

Re: Suzuki Samurai w/Softop for bugging out?

Being this seems like the suzuki samurai love thread, figured I'd ask here. My mechanic (who I've had absolutely zero issues in the past) is selling an 87 samurai. He said he bought it cheap and replaced the head gasket, all that was wrong. 4x4 works and all that good stuff, and is wanting 2.5k for ...

Welcome, good to see another Kansan on board. I'm just a little south of you (I imagine atleast) in Newton, grew up in Great Bend aswell though, if that is by chance what you call "central kansas." Hope you have found a new home here on this forum. :)

Re: Closest to a PAW situation you've ever been in!

The 1993 Hesston Tornado, was within 5-10 miles of it. All I remember is going to our walk in closet and staying there for a long time. Another tornado, sometime in the early 90's aswell either hit or was near to El Dorado. We were leaving my aunt's, and were within about a mile or 2 of it. Being a ...

Re: animal salt for humans?

I'd imagine it would work, but I would be worried about the lack of Iodine in ones diet, which iodized salt provides. One needs iodine to help prevent thyroid problems. It does occur naturally and you can get your intake through plants and such, but the Pacific Northwest, which your location says yo...

Re: Your hair in the event of an outbreak

I cut my hair once a year, round April-Mayish. I get it all buzzed off to pretty much bare skin, then over the coarse of the year let it grow out until next April. It's at about 3 inches right now, so bout 6 inches by time I get it chopped off again. So overall, I doubt my hair in the paw will be an...

Re: "Zombie, run!" for the Droid phone

I have it on my G1, and have played it some. Its novelty wears off quickly though. There are random zombies placed around you, no matter what the map background is. So yeah I've seen them go through walls, river, and other impossible places. Like I said, nifty but not all that impressive.

Re: Jericho, good show. Let's discuss the town.

Larned Kansas would fit the bill nicely. Wow, thats kinda erie, when killzombies mentioned should have pd, fd, hospital etc, was thinking Larned as well. You just find that town online? Or you from the area? I used to live in Great Bend so I know it well myself. The state hospital there though, tha...

Re: CALLING ALL KANSANS!!!!

Well it's tomorrow if anyone plans on going. I don't think I'll participate in the walk (least not as a zombie) but if I get off of work in time I do plan to go there and spread some ZS love. Might say some nifty lines like, we're here to make sure this doesn't turn into a class 3 outbreak or someth...
