Re: What would you do if your house was squatted??
Well... in my leases the doors are listed as appliances that can be removed at landlords discression. So to evict people we have removed the doors for "maintenance" which really motivated the tenants to move as it was winter and the average temp was pretty darn cold without a door. I dealt with a sq...

Re: Front site idea about ammo in your go-bag.
Personally I keep a few extra rounds of caliber I own in my bob but having 67 lose rounds in a bag is not a functionally good idea. Let's say I do find said empty gun... now I have to dig out the rounds but in the real world under conditions possibly under fire and with my luck in the dark. I would ...

Re: Body Worn Camera
I'm curious what you do for a living? I know personally I have a dash cam because people drive like turds but IDK if you would really get that much use from a body cam. A good cellphone might be more use, that way you'll always have it on you.

Re: Brown Bear 7.62x39 and a sketchy situation.
Based on what I saw at his house (piles and piles of junk) I don't think it was stolen. Honestly what kind of criminal steals cheap Russian ammo? It's heavy and not really resellable. While I'm not too sure about this guy yet, but he did message me today out of the blue and ask if I wanted to buy a ...

Brown Bear 7.62x39 and a sketchy situation.
So I was buying a bicycle last night around 8. It's in a crappy part of town and because of construction I didn't get there until after dark. The guy had 8 bikes and I bought one for $20 which is a good price but it's not in great shape. Talking with the guy for a while he was a little strange, mayb...

Re: You find yourself with a hostage?
It's a hard moral question. On one hand letting someone go would put you at risk but on the other hand murdering someone is against ZS rules... so I'm going to take it on a case by case basis. Also for me there is no question, the dog comes and you better shut up and climb in the bed cause he's ridi...

Re: Confused about BOB shelter
One thing that wasn't really mentioned is skill level and experience. I know for me a tarp, tent or biv can all become shelter, in my micro BOB I just use a large poncho just fine for two days. Of course I've done this a few times and am pretty good at setting up a camp sight on the fly so my BOB va...

Re: How many rifle magazines for a get-home kit?
I personally keep 10 mags in my car and extra mags for my EDC. Since weight is not really a concern in a vehicle I think more the merrier should be the mentality, I would much rather carry more mags then I need rather than not enough. Balance this of course with cost and vulnerability and find a num...

Re: Active Shooter Vid from LAPD
Sorry but I couldn't watch the whole thing, why did everyone stick around after shots were fired? Like the first scene the dude has headphones on and apparently can't hear gun fire. I think this video benefits people with zero situational awareness who need to be told to run from someone shooting at...

Re: Polaris 570 vs KLR 650 - Four Wheels Good, Two Wheels...
I guess if I had to chose one I would take the KLR, personally I like sport bikes but meh. I think if you added hard cases with saddle bags you would increase the capacity significantly. I also know they make 10 gallon fuel tanks for the KLR, they just cost a few pretty pennies.

Re: Dutch loading
I've loaded a few of my mags with the last 3 as tracer rounds and I've got a .22 with round nose and shot shells. Personally I try to keep all my rifle ammo the same type and manufacturer, I don't want to load various round types that will have different flight characteristics. I think a few of my s...

Re: Practicality of a Post Apocalyptic Sniper?
Hey I'm going to jump on at the end without reading all of the previous posts (I tried but damn ADD). So reasons I have a "Sniper rifle" Bad people like to shoot at me first, I want to shoot back. Ammo is scarce so every shot should count. Range is your friend when dealing with zombies. A million ot...

For me personally it would depend if it was a sea day or a port day. Since I'm not driving, sea days would be the worst case scenario... I really can't say what drunk me would do. Sober me would of course organize the survivors into a human shield while grabbing whatever weapons I could and moving t...

I'm not sure how the ATF would classify that, I know they raided my toy store the other day to confiscate the dangerous assault cap guns.

I would seriously have to shoot one before I'd be interested. It looks pretty cool but I question the effectiveness vs cost.

Re: Polling My New Gun
So to hit on what I've already got, my collections pretty well rounded out. Highlights would be: a mess of 22's, a 10/22, an M&P, a Bersa Thunder, Mosin and Mav 88. Sold my AR during gun ban craze and not bought another. These are all guns I like for various reasons and just can't decide what to get...

Polling My New Gun
I've just got my first paycheck from my new job, so I'm looking to spend a good chunk of it on a new gun. I've whittled it down to a few guns I've had my eye on for a while, which should I buy first and why? Also if you have a suggestion please share it. I'm wanting to spend ~200-350.

Re: Foreign Invasion WWYD
Looked like an Aussie-fied Red Dawn, but surprisingly good. It was close enough to the remake of R.D. that it could easily have been written about the same event, about a different location. I know this might be blasphemy but it might be better than the RD remake. I know the climax is more realisti...
