Re: Nick's GHB V1.0!
There's no sling on your rifle. A sling would be mighty handy. Doesn't have to be a fancy one, even a two dollar surplus M16 black nylon sling will work. Or even a carry strap from luggage. Calorie wise, you might want to budget 3000 a day if you're walking around with a pack and under stress. If y...

Re: Nick's GHB V1.0!
For a little bit of "San Antonio-Centric" advice here goes... -I'd replace the map you have with a MAPSCO book of San Antonio. The best time to get them is about November at the MAPSCO store just off of 281. The previous year goes on sale and the new version comes out. They also have the books for ...

Re: The Ridiculous Concept of Ankle Support
Great article, thanks for posting the link. For myself, I have very weak ankles. I walk a lot; I think nothing of walking a few miles on an errand or just for fun. My friends get pissed at me because if I'm driving, I'll park the car as soon as I see a parking spot even if it means walking five or ...

Nice man, looks like my exact set up I'm using right now on my m4 the army issued. I noticed the surefire light, how's it on/off/push operated, is it a button or a pressure switch...I seriously recommend the pressure switch option, looks like this ... http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b114/monk01/S...

Re: New Armor
I like HSGI and TAG gear (I especially like HSGI gear) Here's my breakdown (completely unsolicited BTW but others need to keep this in mind): Fighting gear should be on the left, admin gear on the right. Extreme left or right doe not make a difference IE: Directly at your 9 or 3). BTW, if you are l...

Re: DIY Rifle painting project
I ahve been interested in doing something like this, but I haven't been able to get past the idea of the paint just bubbling of a hot barrel. Does the Krylon hold up to the heat? I haven't really had a chance to put it to a real test since It was painted so I couldn't tell you from experience. When...

Re: New Armor
I was just curious as to what you were going to use it for. My personal philosophy is to avoid combat if possible and if not, break contact and E&E ASAP. Mobility > armor IMO but different people have different things in mind. Some people wear armor because paintballs hurt. The absolute last thing ...

Re: AR15 upgrades.
Looking good. I'm curious about that stock, what advantage does it have over the standard collapsible stock. Lighter weight? Enjoy that AR, it's a beut. I like it mainly because it locks in place and feels much more solid then the standard collapsible stock. That is what finally sold me on it anyway.

Re: New Armor
I am just curious, what is the purpose of said armor and what are it's specs? Purpose? I hope to collect dust in my closet when it isn't being used during training. I read something once that said if you are willing to invest in a good fighting rifle it would be smart to invest in some good armor t...
