Re: Which Shotgun Scabbard?
Thanks for the responses. I really like the Eberlestocks, but I am not willing to pay 400+ for one. As this is just a convenient way to carry it while hiking to a camp, I think I am going to start looking for one with grommets at the bottom in case any water gets in it.

Which Shotgun Scabbard?
I did a search and didn't see any threads comparing shotgun scabbards. I am looking for one to attach to a backpack for hiking. It would need to fit a Moss 500 18.5 with heat shield. I have checked the reviews on the Condor, Explorer, NCStar, Ultimate Arms, and a few others but am looking for one th...

Re: eBay Wins
Used medical clip boards. I got like 3 of them at about $12 each with shipping. I used them all the time and to buy them new is generally a kick in the teeth. They may not make a survival situation any easier. They do help make my every day life easier. I was just thinking that I kept seeing medica...

I like it. Looks like something you would mount on palisade in case of enroaching dragons.

I carry a Leatherman Skeletool CX everyday. I like the size and that I can open the knife one handed. Now I want the new Leatherman OHT. That will probably be my next purchase.

Re: What is with all the Kukri love?
I am too lazy to read all of the posts, so I am not sure if it has been mentioned, but there is a strong cultural use. The people that use it, use it for everything. Everything from shucking corn to building houses. I personally prefer a bowie blade myself but the kukri definitely has its uses. It i...

I am conflicted. If it is a fake, I want to say, "Joerg, that was great!" That being said, if it was real,I would feel horrible. Re: Almost Died
Good to read that you are working so hard. Even if you never get back to exactly where you were, you are really being good to your body and that will pay off for you. Have you talked to your doctor or a dietician/nutritionist about folic acid for diabetic neuropathy? It might be helpful. Regards, P...

Re: Almost Died
Been a long time but wanted to provide an update. I learned that due to both the strenuousness of the way I had exercised and did martial arts for years and the fact that my body couldn't get oxygen to my tendons, I will never be back to where I once was. Every one of my joints is now having problem...

I saw someone asked about how my brother is doing. From what I am being told he is doing well and has a cute girlfriend. His hand apparently healed up fine and he has had no more surprises visits by negligent bullets.

http://www.canemasters.com/images/midnight-cst-thmb.jpg I recommend a cane. It actually is legal everywhere. Is that the Kabar cane? No that is the Canemasters Midnight cane in hickory. I also have the Robaina Raven in solid aluminum. http://americancaneselfdefense.com/1279/the-new-robaina-raven-ca...

Re: sheath for black thorn walking stick
I understand completely why he is asking. I have been meaning to add a loop on my backpack for my cane. Having a cane or walking stick in your hand means you can't use both hands to do something. I have a hook on my cane, but then I am walking/limping with something in my arms and a cane swinging fr...
