Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition

If the thumbhole stock makes use of the safety difficult , I would install an ambi safety and manipulate it with the triggerfinger .

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition

I went shooting yesterday at an indoor range with buddy . Report - Midlength CMMG AR shot great , nothing new there . Inland M1 Carbine had some erratic ejuction and feeding issues , probably needs some new parts or springs . Gonna take it apart and give it a good cleaning though first . Glock 19 - ...

Re: Fallkniven F1 or Bark River?

Can't comment on the F1 , But I have had a BRK Bravo1 for several years and am quite fond of it . Really does work as advertised and have been nothing but pleased with it's performance . That said , I want something different and am going to sell it and get a Scrapyard 411 because I feel it will sui...

Re: Role playing, 5kg--What are you taking?

I have an AR that I built to be lightweight . Carbine gas 14.5 pencil barrel . If memory serves it is right about 6.5 lbs . Swap the sling and rear sight and I could bring it down to six lbs with a light .

Loaded AR mags are about 1lb , so add 5 of those , gives me 150 rounds .

Not too shabby .

Re: Firearms Chat: Stipple that, home edition

Was dry firing my G19 last night . I get a bit of "glockfinger" from the triggerguard where it contacts my middle finger . I took some sandpaper and radiused and smoothed out that area and it made a noticeable difference , I stopped myself before I went too crazy , but am seriously considering under...

I was really impressed with the Ruger LCR I shot recently . Kind of like the Glock of snub nosed revolvers .

My lightweight carbine has an old school Duckbill grip on it . I hate the gap between the grip and triggerguard and this fixes the problem . http://duckbillgrip.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; My midlength has a MIAD that I traded into , I like it for the storage . Both grips hav...

Been carrying a chinese clone of a Hinderer xm-18 for a while and am quite pleased with it .

I lucked into an Emerson bullnose Kerambit the other day for $20 , so that has been getting pocket time , but I am gonna sell or trade it soon .

That's how I do it on HKs and Walthers . Thought that is how you are 'supposed" to do it by design .

Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

Quicky Range Report - Did some informal plinking with some friends , most rather inexperienced . I kept it simple and brought one of my Glock 19s and my midlength mutt AR-15 . Both fuctioned flawlessly , I am happy to say , ran about 500 rounds through them . Also in attendence were a Gen4 G26 , a s...

Re: Azstinger's Bike Commute Challenge!

I already commute by bike to work every day . Have been doing so in all weather for over two years . I don't own a car .

Round trip is 14 miles . I do a recreational club ride every Monday as well that is usually 20 to 30 miles . All told I ride a minimum of 100 miles every week .

Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

I think what I will probably wind up doing on my 19s when i work up the balls is grind off the finger grooves and take down the right side of the trigger guard a bit because I do get "Glock knuckle" a bit . Think I will toss on a Grip Force adapter and some Talon grips and that should in theory make...

Re: Firearms Chat.....Sans catchy title

A few years back I sold all of my handguns and bought a pair of Gen3 Glock 19s . I am very fond of them and shoot them well . I chose them as they have that perfect blend of size/firepower . The other day I was playing around with a friend's new G22 and I was amazed at how much better a full size Gl...

Re: What AR stock are you running and why?

I have a standard M4 6 position on my lightweight carbine . It came with the Rock River LPK I used to build the rifle . I like it fine , but have considered swapping it out to a MOE or Sopmod , but don't really feel like dropping money into a rifle that is basically a backup . I use a Defensive Edge...

Defenders are great , I owned one for several years .

I don't see much point in owning an unreliable gun , so I would put the money into getting it fixed .
