Re: Build your own Emergency Generator

You can use my pics, but that thing is a death trap. I've moved a couple times since then and somewhere along the way I lost that thing. :( Now I should build a better, more dangerous one. My new place should be the last stop for a long while I will have to do good job, perhaps slightly less hazardo...

What about something like this:

You'd still need something for the face, but I bet some wandering in the air filters section would find what you need...

Re: Nasty surprise today

I just moved and discovered a "bad bug" nest under a landscaping timber and shaded by some overhanging vegetation. I discovered it while mowing. I went mowing along the edge of the timber, got to the end about 40 feet away, turned and saw a black swarm of flying pain waiting for me. I just mowed aro...

Rosse: Bug Out Gear Deals (Post 'em when you find 'em)

Possibly false advertising. Brick and morter stores get to stop that problem by putting a sign up that you have to walk by informing you of the error. They do this after it has been caught because somebody got a smoking deal. If they don't they are held to the advertised price until a correction not...

Re: Unofficial ZS War Bike Projects (updated 2/23/10,page 10)

I run D606s on my 08 KLR. They are great, I even do long highway on them. I heard they were horrible in the rain on pavement, that has not been MY experience, yours may vary. they turn the bike into a much more fun off road toy, and a little less fun of a commuter bike. I plan on trying something el...

Re: Top Ten Apocalyptic Novels of All Time

There is a novel I read several years ago that I thought was pretty good called "MALEVIL." It is set in France before, during and after a short nuclear war. The main characters live in an old castle called MALEVIL (thus the title) and the steps they take to survive and later to help free a small vi...

Rough to read. Bad thoughts and all that. Seems like damned if you do damned if you don't in a lot of those situations, for the innocent peoples victimized except that one looter dude... Thanks for writing that Raptor, good brain food.

Weird. Does it do it when you click EDIT ITEM or once the EDIT ITEM window is shown? Before or after doing anything else? Just looked it over and tested it. It works fine in 2k3 and 2k7. Let's see if anyone else has that problem...

Re: Survival Inventory Software FREE

Unlikely that you're causing it, BUT there should be the option to debug on that error window. If there is you can click that and it will highlight the offending code, copy that and let me know what line irritates it.

Hmm... A quick Google check says it could be a lot of things, from compatibility in my code, to install problems in your office installation. I'll see if anyone else comes up with it.

What color dye did you add to the water? When my friend used his filter the first few times, the filter-material (carbon? charcoal?) turned the water purple. Apparently it's standard for new filters. /\ This... I have one and that is what I found. Same for every new filter. Usually goes away after ...

Neat little program that is working fine on my comp. I will test it out further when I get home. ETA: I have found some bugs, when you got to Item Maintenance, then to Edit item, I get an error, but I don't know how to program, so can't really fix it. Looking good so far... What version of Excel do...

Re: 12 volt pump question, lifting water.

Probably in line is the way to go, but if I recall correctly it will have to be spaced at the limits, meaning if one is at 0 feet the other should be at 11, or preferably less than right at the limit. It's my understanding that putting them stacked together doesn't increase the lift potential nearly...

Remember that this is just a seedling, part of the reason I brought it out was I wanted ideas for things to add, so if you say to yourself "I wish it did this" or "I wish it did that differently", let me know and I will see what I can do to make it happen. I want to make this a better package so tha...

Re: Household organization/Load Plan

What is scary is that my wife has taken the whole "organization" thing to crazy levels. Now anyone who steps into our house can look at a closet door and tell what supplies are contained within. She started doing it for some of her more forgetful clients (she is a home health care worker) and now d...

Doh! Admin password is currently "password" without the quotes, that allows you to edit things like locations, categories, priorities or all data (which I used as a catch all for everything else) you really need to have that for it to be any good. Sorry for not including it earlier.

As of now it only runs 100% in Office 2K7 apparently earlier versions (even though it is all VBA 6.5) used some different methods for some of the stuff I have the system doing. I'll putter around with it today and see what I can do about that.

I put this on a couple of another board, and have used it on multiple boxes and versions of excel. I am at a loss as to what could be different about yours, when it fails does it give you the option to debug and if it does click it. Clicking debug should pop up the excel/vba development window. If y...
