Re: North Korea planning to test-fire ICBM?
I'm assuming that a strike in North Korea would draw in China. Just worst case scenario. Malheur National Forest would be pretty safe from blasts, right?

Re: Chemical Attacks and US response
US has launched missiles against the air base that allegedly carried out the gas attack. https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.nytimes.com/2017/04/06/world/middleeast/us-said-to-weigh-military-responses-to-syrian-chemical-attack.amp.html And Russia has vowed "negative consequences" which is most like...

Thank you for sharing the links, SCB. As for your observation that 'it's been happening for awhile and no body cared' - I wish I could say something that would not get this thread L&B. I'm just trying to share the news and not really have a discussion, so I'll just keep silent. . Agreed... One topi...

5 dead, 8 injured in shooting at Ft Lauderdale Airport
Shooter came into airport, shot near baggage claim. Shooter has US Military ID identified as Esteban Santiago, police investigating possible shots fired in far end of terminal. Full airport evac in progress, leaving via the tarmac. It's interesting that he was able to enter the airport with a weapon...

There is no such thing as too many Steri-Strips. God knows those, some surgical gauze, and clear medical tape have saved my ass on several occasions.

Walking is fine. Even fully loaded I can make it to my secondary and tertiary locations in under an hour, including setup. My primary location relies on my secondary or tertiary location being used for a few days anyway. It'd be stupid to run off without assessing the situation, consulting with frie...

Cheap as fuck costume jewelry. Get five sets. For like, 20 bucks. Good for any time, it let's you afford a kickass honeymoon, and if you lose your ring, no big deal.

Oh, I'd definitely consider bugging out to a Wally World. The one near me has an upper floor that's all offices, with windows overlooking the store. I'd have to be the first one in, with friends setting up all my proper gear elsewhere, but watching the absolute chaos? Hell. Yes.

No, no. This is the best. Even a hardened raider would break out laughing, allowing you to get a precisely aimed center mass cluster.RickOShea wrote:

What about supplementing your Ramen stash with Soylent? Long shelf life, a buck a meal, and 33% of basically everything you need. Should cover the bases well.

Re: Another Police Shooting in St. Louis Triggers New Protes
I don't know about all that. I'm mostly concerned with making things unnecessarily complex for law enforcement and, well, what happens when someone chucks a bottle at these guys from out in the darkness? Or a molotov? Or a bullet? Are they all going to have the restraint to hold their fire until it...

What we need to do is start a Vault program, and build massive underground vaults, survival shelters, in every community, capable of housing thousands indefinitely. You mean, in case of FALLOUT? I see what you did there  Actually, I'm all for a real. Vault program, one for every neighborho...

On the Washington coast, the tsunami would be higher than any evacuation zones. There is no escape. There would be no survivors.

My kits are like, 90% Steri Strips, Band-Aids, gauze, and self adhesive wrap. I usually carry enough to actually outweigh the rest of what I have in my edc kit. If somebody wipes out on a bike, or a kid falls, or somebody cuts themselves. I'll just break out my kit and patch them up. I've got a CAT,...

Just ask the pharmacist for extra labels. That solves everything.
