Ive still got mine. 342k on it, and heres the list of things i had to replace...starter, and the key gave out. Took the tumblers out of the ignition, the ignition turns with, well anything now, but it wont start because of the immobilizer chip in the key. There is a good board full of enthusiastic o...

The ones shutting down will still be a distribution point for meals, though. This is a real problem with the schools shutting down. In some districts the school meals are the primary meals for too many of the kids. And thats terrible. This country needs to remember how to cook, school lunch has gro...

3 that come to mind 2x on thug types who were looking for money, my car. Once on a plainclothed cop, in an unmarked explorer sporttrac who neglected to use his lights when he blocked me in a spot and said 'youre not going anywhere'. Never came above the window, so he didnt see it. Reholstered quick ...

Re: Drug home oddball diesel
I know Olds drag racers can use the 350 Diesel block to build an awesome gas racing engine..... However as a diesel engine they flat suck. "Heavy Duty" and "Bomb Proof" when looked at from the context of a converted gas engine is worlds apart from "Diesel Heavy Duty". Those engines were known for n...

Re: Chevy Avalanche Bed Slide Construction - DIY
Nice build. For the plywood haters, a buddy of mine found a composite of sorts, was maybe 1/4 ply sandwiched between similar thickness metal. Cuts easy enough that he built a replacement grille for his chevy truck from it. Had enough elasticity to permanently bend a shallow v in the center, metal ke...

Re: Take down or traditional
I like my(kids) 10/22 takedown enough to be saving for its larger 9mm cousin. Quarter sized groups at 25y is easy. Just dont waste time putting a scope on it, i didnt have any luck with mounting a scope to receiver, then snapping barrel out. Would find zero, lose it again next takedown. Irons work g...

The Attwoods near me has 1 on the shelf, for 519.00. I held it tonight, nice, take down is exactly as hard to manage as the .22, easy and felt well built. We already have and are fans of the 10/22 takedown...think itll have a bigger bro around soon.

Re: Building a Bug Out Cart for fun and profit
Dont know if youve solved the parking brake issue or not yet, but most bike rimbrakes have a nut on the lever that lets you adjust for wear on the pads, or an out of true wheel. You'll find the brake cable housing running through it. Adjust it close for normal use, and you may be able to turn it a c...

Cant imagine anything scarier than an unexpected oldtimer placing a revolver against a badguys gutroll.
You just need to adjust tactics to suit abilities.
Never give up.
