Finally got around to enrolling in and finishing CERT training (https://www.ready.gov/community-emergency-response-team). Mostly refresher information, but it was a really positive experience and I still learned new things. Would recommend it to anyone who hasn't already taken it!

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

Quick review of Rio Low Recoil shot and slugs: I like Rio Low Recoil shot. But I like Fiocchi better. Rio worked good enough. They patterned decently. I think better than the Fiocchi by an inch or two at 10 yards. But that is shotgun specific. I think the Fiocchi is a little softer recoiling though...

But how will Tubbs fit it under his Irish Linen Tommy Bahama sportcoat with the big magazine hanging out the back? Get with the times. He's gonna appendix carry it in his sagged baggy pants. :clownshoes: Is that a shotgun in your pocket or are you just happy to see me? Just a .410 I'm afraid... :oo...

Re: The Coming Civil War

I'm trying to think if political parties in the USA is enough to start full out warfare amongst even 25% of the population. If that did happen, I still think a martial-law-national-guard-riot-police situation would cull it. Less than 30% of eligible voters even bothered to vote in the last election...

Re: The Coming Civil War

I would like to see us stop posting links to specific stories. All the linked stories, as I see, point to the Left being the primary culprit here. That's because they are, in the eyes of general media, recently. I don't attribute it to any aspect of ideology, rather, the fact that they are the ones...

The recent Maxine Waters event, to me, just underscores my original point. https://cdns.yournewswire.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/maxine-waters-trump-violence-678x381.jpg She's speaking to a "crowd" that would graciously be considered as dozens of people, only half or less of whom even seem to be ...

Re: Chiappa Double Badger 22LR over 20 guage

Do you think the shell holder would work on a non-wood (I forget the proper verbage) stock? I have a Savage 24F in the same gauge/caliber as your Chiappa. His actual description on the specific item page calls out the Chiappa and Savage 24 so I would say that it would. As long as you take the time ...

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

So, about a month or so ago, I ventured for the first time into the realm of the truly low cost, 'budget' AR-15. Back when everyone thought the Dowager Empress of Chappaqua was going to win the election, I bought 4 Tennessee Arms synthetic AR-15 lowers (because that was all I could find that wasn't...

Re: Chiappa Double Badger 22LR over 20 guage

Looks great. I will be reaching out to that dude as well. I've been looking for a custom leather butt stock pouch for a rifle as well. He makes them custom too - he only had listings for .410/.22 holders but was happy to make the 20 / .22, with my specified loops for each, without a blink. I was wo...

Just another quick update. I spotted this guy's work ( https://www.etsy.com/shop/possumhollowdesigns ) last year and ment to get a shell holder for the Chiappa then but kind of forgot about it until recently. Glad I reached out, it looks, feels, and yes, even smells, great. Shells pushed in REALLY e...

I have put them on 12GA shotguns and they work just fine. Mind that these are real TLR flashlights and not cheap look alike knock-offs they sell on Amazon and Ali Baba. TLR makes a good light they give good PID at over 50 yards. Awesome, thanks - these are the real deal, or at least that's what I p...

Anyone ever put a Stream Light TLR 1 on anything heavier - recoil wise - than a handgun? I wanted a light with a slimmer profile and intigrated pic rail connection for my Mossberg Shockwave 20g, so I pulled the one off my G17 to test the ergos and it seems like it might fit the bill after I try it i...

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

I do want to pick up some more USGI type mags, though. CDNN usually has deals on them and sometimes they'll have a "bag of mags" deal where you can get like 10 or so mags for less than 80 bucks. PSA also regularly throws in 10 Pmags as a package with something else - Got a Vortex Strikefire II and ...

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

They seem to sell for about the same as Pmags at the local Academy store now. Which is weird. What's even weirder is Academy has the crappy Promag mags going for 25 bucks a pop. I might pick up a couple of the MFT mags for range/training mags and keep my Pmags for more serious work. Have you had an...

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

Anyone here ever use those Mission First Tactical AR mags ? Are they any good or should I just stick to Pmags and USGI metal mags ? I have a few MFT mags and have had no issue with them, but I haven't used them a ton either - I'd say any given MFT mag has seen 100-200 rounds. They were some of the ...
