X95

Anyone have or shot one of the new IWI X95s? I'm interested in getting one but haven't shot one personally. Wondering how it feels.

the gold accents are a nice touch. Not to much to make it flashy but enough to make it just classy ;)

If I wasn't already in the military for sure I would stand up and fight for my country.

Re: In another country when serious shit hits the fan

Are you on vacation or are you working there? I have a friend who lives and works in Japan teaching English. She was there when the nuclear power planted had a melt down. She doesn't live in the same town as the power plant. She has built up a support system and I assume she would do what everyone ...

Re: In another country when serious shit hits the fan

First, I'd ask around the hotel and see if anyone would loan me their cell phone so that I could get a call out to my family. I would talk to the hotel staff (who probably speak English, since I've reserved a room with them. At the very least, they clearly speak something I speak.) I'd try to learn...

Re: In another country when serious shit hits the fan

I did leave it kind of open but I wasn't saying that the power outage was the only thing causing the panic. I left it open to see what people would say and go off of if this really was the case. If this really did happen how much would you know besides the obvious? With out electricity in developed ...

In another country when serious shit hits the fan

You are in another country say in a different continent then you normally live. On vacation with your significant other or one friend (you choose). You brought what you legally could fly with so no knifes or weapons that are not allowed on plans and especially no firearms. Your only means of communi...

Re: what about a get home bag

Yeap I got one. Not a far walk from work for me. To be honest I wouldn't need one to go home from worK but disaster might hit at any time. I just have some basics. Water, clif bars, tarp, bandana, medical kit, duc tape, zip ties, paracord, lighter and a few other things I can't recall at the moment....

Everyday carry Topic?

Is their an everyday carry topic? Somewhere people post their everyday carry pics or can discuss them? This is all about being prepared and what gear is more important than what you have on you everyday no matter what? EDC is you go to first when anything happens.

Re: What do you think I should get first?

I'm not really worried about AK vs AR. I know AK are notorious for there reliability but I am very well trained on the M4/AR15 platform so I can handle any problem they throw at me. I really just want an AR and an AK because I like them both for different reasons. Probably going to get the AR first ...

Re: What do you think I should get first?

Yeah I'm thinking an AR15 for now. I want to get another glock and give mine to the wife but we live on a military installation so it makes it difficult to carry. We are not allowed to carry on it. I think the glock can wait a bit since I already have one. I love AR15's and want something similar to...

I already own a glock 19 that I have plenty of time with. I was thinking of getting a new one so my wife can have the old one. She likes the old one a lot.

What do you think I should get first?

First off I am going to be buying all of these at some point. I am trying to decide what I should first. I have a glock 19 gen 2 but I plan on buying a newer one. My wife likes my glock 19 and I would like to get a new one for me and she can use my old one. I have a lever action rifle but no AR15 or...

Re: Training to Shoot Under Stress

in the army to get us use to shooting under stress we do "stress shoots". Basically we ruck with a lot of weight or some other exercise to get the heart rate up then stop at the range and get smoked. Getting smoked usually consist of push ups, flutter kicks, burpies, and other exercises. Then we run...

Re: How many rifles for a group with 11 shooters.

I saw at least one other say to have a least one rifle for every two. Coming from a military background I would agree that at least half should have a rifle. I would also have everyone paired up, aka the battle buddy system the military uses. Always have someone to watch your back and help you when ...

I found out from experience that being in Egypt is the worse place to be. My family is all back in the states and Egypt has nothing to offer if the shit does hit the fan.

I would have told my wife to call the police non emergency line after the first incident. Their was enough suspicious things going on to call the non emergency line. Hopefully the cops would come out and look around to scare the guy off or better yet see him in the act.

forgive me if I missed it but I didn't see a tourniquet. Granted you can use a lot to improvise as one but a purpose built one always works better. Also I don't know anything about the blood stopping gauze their but I've been talking to a combat medic and he highly recommends the longer sheets to pa...

sell your 19 for get a gen 4 19. Why sell the full size for a compact that you already have? Makes more sense to sell the compact to get a new compact. I do see a point for a full size for home defense and a compact for ccw. just saying

Re: Rapid Military Takeover WWYD

Being that I am in the military I would either A) Be the said force doing the takeover or B) Be fighting the military force that took over because that is my job. If something like that every happens I would it much rather be B than A because I don't want to be doing anything like A. If it was post ...

Re: What vehicle would you choose?

I would go with the land rover for sure. The land rover gives you more options like dirt roads that were not maintain or just off road if need be. In theory if you have a bug out location in mind either vehicle should have enough gas in a full tank to get you there. At your location you should have ...

Re: Fighting Kit?!

I suspect if we face a PAW, tactics will change drastically. For starters, there will not be as much medical help available. I suspect this will reduce the amount of fighting as people figure out living through the day is hard enough, without inviting perforation/ventilation of their hide into the ...

Re: Fighting Kit?!

JD has a point: the US Army wins battles because of fire superiority (or at least that's a primary tactic). Technically, that's 3 to 1. Your ability to employ direct fire (and indirect fire if possible) is the single most important factor. Everything else like first aid is implied and part of a bas...
