Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

Did your mag tube extension come with a longer spring? When I bought a Nordic tube extension for my one 1100, it came with a longer spring. I also bought Nordic's mag tube to barrel clamp(s) and picatinny rail sections. EDIT: I did have the gunshop counter guy show me how many dummy rounds he could ...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I thought I would never write or utter these words: "I bought an 870." Because I have a Mossberg 590, and the shell lifter on a 590 stays up. You have to fight the shell lifter on an 870 because it stays down....in the way while trying to insert new shells into the mag tube. But it is a tactical mod...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Looking at AR pistols at the local shop today, and ended up liking the Daniel Defense MK18 and Sig MCX over everything else they had. Between the two the MK18 was noticeably less bulky, and the price point was similar enough. Anyone have a preference? I'm leaning toward the Mk18, but not sure if th...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

I made it to the range yesterday and got my RDA of Vitamin Pew. Brought the PivotHead glasses along. And two shotguns... A Remington 1100 Tactical wearing a Nordic Components extended mag tube, and their barrel clamp. And a Mossberg 590 pump: https://youtu.be/L8H-sTZTDGM https://youtu.be/Okwche4O0fQ...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

My old AR500 plate(s) held up just fine the other day versus that .300 Blackout "pistol". That was with both subsonics and supersonics. I'd like to run the supersonics over my chrono to see how slow they are going. I want to be able to do drills/exercises on my steel without the fear of catch...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

And practiscore doesn't post raw stage times? My comment wasn't so much about stage planning but rather just as a QC/QA check that the written stage briefing matches up to your walk through count. But then I have been out of the loop for a long time. One would think that that maybe Practiscore has a...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Yup Production - heck maybe I'll turn this G34 into a Carry Optics gun though and get a CZ SP01 for a non race Production gun. It's fun but I'm not 100% sure I want to go all in on Production and get a Shadow2 or something. Yeh typo on my part I mean match % does not correlate to ranking at all. I ...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

My official USPSA match % was 64% in last match - up from 53% back at June's match. That feels pretty good. Latter half of best stage of this match: https://i.imgur.com/oRsfTu9.gif Shooting Production division, eh? Your 64%...that's from the combined UNofficial results, right? Just an FYI...EzWinsc...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Thanks for the discussion on the folding stock. I was trying to figure out a way to use a back pack for storage too and from the range and a folding stock looked to be an interesting way to go I splurged last month and bought a Sig MCX hybrid in .300 Blackout. with the stock...err...I mean brace fo...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

There is a certain amount of gun snobbery in USPSA pistol competitions. The Para 16-40 was the poor man's Limited division gun...or poor man's version of the STI or SVI 2011. Anywhooo... here is that Todd Jarret vid showing disassembly of a TTR https://youtu.be/zrFu67eW4Oo they may or may not work, ...

Re: Firearms Chat 6: Year of the 10mm

Speer only lists the muzzle velocity at 1100 fps...it's like they're not even trying. And Lucky Gunner's test only gave it 1029 average. In other (non)news, I'm still waiting for CZ to make the -97B in 10mm. CZ-USA posted a thing of FB, asking if people preferred their 10mm 1911 threaded or longsli...

Here are two barrels and a bolt/BCG that Wolf Ammo sent the author, David Fortier:

I am a sucker for reading gun periodicals. So I picked up the Book of the AK47 tonight while at the grocery store. There is a pretty good article on the 9X39 round. If you shoot lefty like me, the lack of a Brunson bump/brass deflector on those retro rifles is no bueno. I went with Colt 723/Diemaco C7 style uppers for my retro middy and IDF Katsar clone builds....Still has that A1 carry handle flair, but with the added comfort of a brass deflector. http://i101...

according to Clint Smith (of Thunder Ranch fame)...something like 80% of all people shot by handguns survive. Also, according to him "handguns put bullets into people...rifles put holes through people." Well probably because 80% are drivebys and barely hit the leg, let alone a vital organ. Kind of ...

Re: Firearms Chat 5: #pewpewlife

Took the Sig MCX/Hybrid in .300 Blackout to the range yesterday. I had bought two long flat bladed screw drivers so I could adjust the gas regulator. It seemed to run just fine with subs with the exception that it wouldn't lock the bolt back on the last round fired. Reaching in with the screwdriver ...
