Re: To anyone who keeps a spare phone.

I would recommend a Nokia 101. Exceptional battery life, cheap to buy, simple to use..

And in my country, yes I have a prepaid card in it, with minutes that never expire.

I thought it might!

Should have put your back to the car and lifted while leaning back, shuffle your feet back as you go..
(That is how you lift up a heavy motorcycle, back to it, and walk it upright).

I meant are the wheels/rims solid or spoked? (you know what I mean huh, spokes, you could get a stick thru and game over). *you replied.. ok no problems with things in wheels, as you go larger, this may be a problem? With the larger wheels, any radical sideways movement may fold the rims/wheels? (I'...

Re: Bug-Out Cart

The bigger tires are ideal for anything that isn't on a paved road. In a bug-out situation you aren't going to want to travel down main roads or where people may see your supplies and think "Get him!" Having the larger wheels makes it easier to pull a large load as well as overcoming any off-road o...

Just take it slow and don't shove it down her throat (prepping info that is).. She doesn't need to see all the gear you are buying straight away, as it will just look like you have spent shoe money in her eyes.. TV is a good in.. Doomsday Preppers, along with some Dual Survival, and throw some movie...

Re: Street Legal Motorcycles for $2K-$3K

Any chinese no-name brand motorcycle isn't going to last..

The brands have not stood the test of time, most of them rattle to bits, or break, eventually..
Plus, finding someone to work on a no-name bike is near impossible..

American or Jap is the way to go.

I got a CRKT RSK Mk5 Ritter Survival Knife, which I am actually wearing as a neck knife this week to see how I like it, may religate it to the BOB, see how it goes..

Comes with the cool survival tin, which I will make up for the missus.

Re: Tobacco and the Apocalypse

I quit smoking a year ago, but recently decided I would try my hand at growing my own. For fun really, its therapeutic too.. idle hands.. I have to clear these out, as there are too many, aiming for one in each punnet. Doing it all fully organic too, I just got some Eco-Fert seaweed based fertilizer...
