Re: Where to put my tarp in or on backpack..

I use a poncho and it is normally the last thing in my pack. I kind of push it over the top of everything to water proof the insides. Then if I don't have time or left my pack somewhere else it protects it a little better. I like the idea of fashioning some kind of cordage to hold it in place. It wo...

Re: Fiber Fix = Super Duct Tape?

Sorry for resurrecting myself as well as this thread. I have used this in the field for reconstructing a few items (etc. near death tent) I highly recommend it if you pay attention to the SIMPLE instructions and take your time. Really stretch out the materials and think ahead because once it's on, i...

Re: Mutlitool Suggestions Please

I have a LM Sidekick and love it. Here before to long I think I'm going to pick up the Wave. I would love to get the MUT but I don't have an AR or anything that would warrant that tool. Maybe one day. Not to thread jack, but those of you that have the Wave: do you have the black finish? I've heard ...

Re: *Gear Review*: Hill People Gear Chest Pack

You can tighten it down real good. The only chest rig I can compare it to is TT MAV as that is the one I have and train with. Pretty much the same set-up, sort of. What's funny is that I am using the MAV under the Recon. I haven't gotten it perfected but imagine the Recon as a better bib or what ev...

Ask OSOE, maybe they can hook you up with a custom.
I personally am in the market for a tactical apron.

Cabelas and REI around here have them I'm sure. I think Walmart has their own version as well. Feels good, I wanted to steal their short and wide water bladder SO BAD. Never got to put one on though.

Re: Monocular Suggestion/Discussion

Go on Dvor, wait for a sale, buy a cheap one and try it out.

Or go to target and get those spy kids monoculars.

The reason I say this is because I chose to do the same, and decided I didn't want one afterwards. You might as well grab a bino and not strain your eyeball.

I don't think anything is intended to except for the ilbe assault pack, you might check other parts of our Armed forces for help because MAYBE there's a chance they're compatible. Hill people gears backpacks are meant to be used a compression panel so maybe some luck there. Other than that, you can ...

A thing that I've learned the hard way is that if any body part is chilled the rest of the body will follow. Make sure your body is equally covered if your outside for a while.

Get a Molle Panel
http://themollepanel.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Then cover it with Kifarus ultralights

Other than that I dunno.

I dig your bag, for MOLLE you can always purchase a panel or do it yourself. Practice, and then achieve your perfect bag. Your Platy idea is awesome, I love it. Very simple. Another thing you COULD technically do is get a small stuff sack that has some eyelets or something in it already, some even h...

A stripped MRE minimum. Except for bagless EDC. Even then I will probably have a clifbar tucked somewhere.
