Re: Saltine crackers DO go rancid

Is my recipe for hard tack wrong then? I've made it using this ingredient list and these ratios 3 cups flour 1 cup water 2 tsp salt. I did a 5 year taste test on it 4 years ago. Using the civil war storage method [ = less than ideal, a tin cookie box]. It tasted like pantry. But wasn't rotten. Any d...

Re: What are you playing?

Did an endurance test on a new 10' USB charging cable for my PS4 controller. 10 hrs straight of The Division 2 on Saturday. Sort of relevant now, even though its a year old or so, since its about a viral outbreak and the collapse and restoration of society. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

Two people at work just ran out and bought ammo at lunch. First person is a half prepper, with a ton of food/water stocked but a lightweight on the security side. one handgun only in the house hold for two people, and two full mags [that's it]. Second person just has a few guns and a CCL. Is not pre...

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

I would suggest a movie marathon. Start with all the "Rambo" movies and finish up with "Predator" and "John Wick". Although they might be tempting, avoid TV shows and made for TV movies, particularly old "A Team" reruns, as nobody ever hits what they're shooting at and it might negatively affect yo...

Is this like the video gammer who locks himself in his room for 8 days straight . And when he finally comes out is asked how he is coping with the virus quarantine replies What virus quarantine ? As long as i have internet, then me and some friends will be wearing out our PS4's if the 'stay at home...

So last night Microsoft updated Edge to make it better and this morning ZS is no longer a secure site. Member-only areas are secure, non-member areas are not. It was doing it everywhere but seems to have resolved itself. Here's even weirder. I'm using Chrome and when reading regular forum threads i...

Looks like ten one hour episodes for the initial offering.
I hope they stay true to the original book. The unabridged edition. That book rocked!
Wasn't that like 800 pages?

Picked up The Division 2 for PS4 for $5.00. So played a little of that. I had to get it because my friend wanted to play it and i told him i'm not getting it unless the price dropped to $5.00. It finally did dammit.

Re: Does this engraving suck or is it just me?

So if you 'dine in' at the Revolver Taco Restaurant, there'll be a guy over in the corner next to your table in his machine shop tapping in engravings. Texas has relaxed those restaurant regs recently I suppose. As for the engravings, he did say he felt like an apprentice and if he did this for 500 ...

There's a couple more classes of dog to consider aren't there? Alarm and deterrent. I had a miniature schnauzer which was a great alarm dog. He could hear a mouse fart at 100m and would let us know if he thought it was important. Then the big dogs would chime in as the deterrent. A team effort. But ...

NexBelt - Titan series - EDC and CC gunbelt 'w/ no holes' One size fits all. $52.99 free shipping on amazon. More than one seller and this was the best price. Been watching it for a while. Add $50 Amazon gift card and $2.99 in points and it didn't cost me anything really. https://i.imgur.com/qIl68b6...

Put most of the budget into keeping people out. Earthen works outside walls, limited entry points under controlled defenses. Nuke proof doors. rocket proof windows. http://earthbagbuilding.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/earth-sheltered_home_2.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/736x/11/5a/10/115a104c60c58652b6ecb...

Looks like all the parts to build one from a standard M4/AR15 can be had cheap enough. It could be that its all in the barrel connection. But it could be a proprietary upper and/or foregrip made to take that adaptor. I'm not sure if there is anything different on the upper receiver where the adapte...

Not bad started at a 7/10 ended with a 6/10. It reminded me of I Am Legend and A Quiet Place but with a darker less optimistic vibe to it. The zombies were more like I Am Legend creatures but still not too bad. Been awhile since I've seen anything even decent. Zombieland 2 didn't count either. http...

Just a word of caution to know the laws concerning picks in the places you travel. Some communities, NYC for example, require a license to have them. Regular oil in my Beeman break barrel actually ignites and sends the pellet supersonic. When it does that its about as loud as my .22! That's seriously interesting. I oil the seals every once in a while so they haven't deteriorated. Better to use silicon lube on rubber seals on air guns. It also protects any metal from rust. Petroleum based Oil isn't great for rubber seals, and is terrible for silicone seals. Pellgun Oil or RMCOIL is silicone, use that. https:...
