Re: What are the biggest threats you think you will face?

Coup attempt by the moderating staff Concern for that threat would suggest that there might be a feeling of guilt associated with actions. Guilt is not a prevalent emotion of overlords administrators, so check that noise, and get a bigger stick. https://media1.tenor.com/images/7a9fe7f2354...

I've never looked into this as I've almost always been in apt bldgs. I know what mgt would say......and I know I have to do something.

I can't be passive or reactive about this.

Re: What are you playing?

Days Gone: I'd been running away and avoiding hordes up until now. Didn't have any good guns, gadgets, or enough ammo. I recently found a LMG. And then I accidentally alerted a nearby hoard while doing a story mission investigation. Thought I had skirted around them but they ended up seeing me. I sa...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, sorry to hear about your boating accident!]

Man, I skipped the 16 inch optics ready carbine and went straight to 16 inch budget build instead. Although since I didn't actually build it, I suppose it may not count. Closest thing to building I've done on my AR is swapping the grip, putting in a different buffer and spring, swap the stock...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, sorry to hear about your boating accident!]

Right, I forgot the 14.5" pinned so maybe It would be better to just say 'Retro build' instead of 20" retro build. There's also the KISS carbine, though I'm not sure where it fits in on the list (16" budget build?).....I'm more of a Bee Gees fan, but those KISS carbines are kinda kewl... https://ho...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, sorry to hear about your boating accident!]

Lol! I'm wanting a PSA or FN A4 clone. Or a A1 clone from some place. Though I saw Colt released 6920s recently and they are selling for $1,100, which I think is prepandemic, so that is cool. I don't know what direction I'll go, but I'll get there one of these days. But until then, I'll keep feedin...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, sorry to hear about your boating accident!]

Hahahahahaha holy shit that's funny. I'm such a hypocrite! I actually initially traded my VP9 (not a true HK anyways) for my 19x. The VP9's mag paddle rubbed my finger rawas it wasn't perfectly aligned. I think it was my specific gun. Then I was going to sell the 19x, until I spent some time shooti...

Re: The LCR .22LR - impressions, use case, thoughts

The best defensive gun is the one you can land the shot with, every time. For lots of people a 22 hits this mark. Is it my first shot to stop a bear or a pitbull? Nope. But many humans shut down from shock when they get shot, even if the shot isn't fatal. And in real world use, 22 is pretty darn ef...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, sorry to hear about your boating accident!]

finishing an AR, there seam to be 2 schools of thought, 1.(the right way to think) get another one to build, using the new idea you had 2. keep tinkering with the one you have, till you have changed everything but the lower. but in all fairness, guns are a hobby (addiction, according to my wife) of...

Re: Firearms Chat: [2021 - Aw, sorry to hear about your boating accident!]

(has anyone ever actually "finished" an AR?) Not me, and I'm the idiot that said to the salesman when I was buying my first AR, "pffft, why would I want to put accessories on it?" That night, during the 3 day 'cooling off' period, I couldn't sleep because I was thinking about making my first upgrad...

I bought a shirt. I'll probably never wear it because I prefer shirts with a pocket, but it's worth it. Might even make it the official slogan of the Mod's Forum. My mod's decoder is broken, I'm totally lost here. https://media1.tenor.com/images/362d5c55859146c0c7debfca296ad321/tenor.gif?itemid=127...

Re: Lets Talk: Air Rifles!

It's a little tougher than a standard pump pellet rifle. Filling it up from zero takes about 80 pumps. It will take about four or five pumps after each shot if you want to get it back up to the 3500 PSI mark. There is an integrated pressure gauge on the side that allows you to see what you pumped u...

Re: What are you playing?

Finally, I'm playing Days Gone. 'Cause it's a free download on PS Plus this month. [PS subscription perk] I haven't gone up against a horde yet, I'm really having trouble when I get dogpiled by 6-10 'Freakers' as it is. I'm hoping its just because I'm at the beginning and have crap for weapons right...

Re: Near-Death Experiments in Food

Hmmm... Are beef broth cubes and beef bouillon cubes different? I do note that they are fat-free (as are the bulk gravy mixes I also stock in my preps) so I never worried about them before this. It has to be the fat thing, that was a rancid type smell. I said beef broth cubes meaning bullion. Same ...

If that happened to yours, you may never get it open. But how likely is it that it'd get hit by a meteorite or similar?

From a DIY ration pack I put together 1/1/16: Trader Joe's Jaipur Vegetables (think: Tasty Bite retort-packaged Indian entree): Best by date: 1/31/18, so 3+ years out of date: delicious, as was the instant rice I served with them. 2.6 oz retort pouch of Skip Jack Tuna (private label, but basically ...

Re: All-purpose Good Online Ammo Deals Thread

Georgia Arms Ammunition Are we talking 'good' good deals or just anything instock? Georgia Arms bulk pricing wants $1/ rnd [they call it pk , I think] of 556 FMJ, on once fired brass reloads. Plus freight. [$17 for one can of 250 to my AO] BUT which is a hybrid that works well in both 5.56 and 223 ...

Re: When they come, try to plug the hole with them - Zombie chokepoint & bottleneck scenarios

I would not expect any headshots from the people with pistols, they'd have to be security of last resort. Maybe at the barricades but again, noise from gunfire. Use pikes or sharpened mop handles at the barricades. Depending on the type of Zed of course. Randomly day one; what if the apartment you ...

I have a Wikireader: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiReader It's a very compact device containing the entire contents (as of a few years ago) of the English Wikipedia. It's powered by two AAA batteries, but in a TEOTWAWKI situation, it draws so little current that it could be run from some kind o...
