Re: Z-UK

Been loving it so far, I really have. Only big thing bothering me is the transitions. I often find myself confused for a minute as to what's going on. Maybe mentioning how long a time jump it was ( A few hours later or a few days later for examples as to what I mean). That and clarification for whe...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms related)

Since I’m shooting it again, 1K rounds of 9mm training ammoes from a PSA sale (good price and free shipping), as well as some more hydra-shoks to top off the new mags I picked up for my STI Staccato-C once they finally had ‘em in stock. Picked up a few boxes of other miscellaneous rounds too with Ac...

Re: Pre-Zombie Journal (name subject to change)

Nice build up! Great tension even with only marginal plot/character development; largely due to the diary format I think.

Good stuff...keep it coming!

Re: Z-UK

Interesting twist...

Only thing that grates on me a bit is Gareth getting killed. And I know this is set in peaceful, lawful Jolly Old England and all, but would Gareth and Gemma really be that naive this far into the Zompocolypse?

Have you considered a 1x red dot with a separate magnifier? I have a cheap Primary Arms advanced micro dot on one upper with a Primary Arms magnifier on a QR flip mount. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-Vkbs6gW/0/f0cc0b93/XL/i-Vkbs6gW-XL.jpg Only thing I’d do different is to spend the coin for a ...

Yeah it sounds like Pete is in a pinch, however I think Robert is the one in deep trouble.
Indeed!

This story reads like a pretty good movie script...enough character development to make it interesting, but fairly surface-level plot to keep the action fast-paced.

Well Pete’s certainly in a pickle now... So I found some sig braces that were really cheap $30 or something. I read to see what the issue was and they were previously pink. I read on and it said these were professionally dyed and range in color from “charcoal to true black” well I recieved them and......... https://photos.smugmug.com/phot...

Re: a Price For Every Head

This “government” seems none too friendly. Some perspective from their side would fill in a lot of plot holes, even if it’s just to paint them as evil, power hungry warlord types.

Looks like I’m a one-trick pony around here lately. Challis grips finally finished and arrived yesterday. Just test fit here because the bushings/grip screws are just a tiny bit too long for these mammoth tooth grips, but you get the idea: https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-g9gGjsX/0/8575c919/XL/i-...

Re: The Dead at Destitute Mountain

Well, stumbled across this story again and just finished catching up (again!) for what...the 4th...maybe 5th time, and after a week of reading it’s still just as great as the first time. Better maybe. The scene where Mundy is sitting on the riverbank and the zed trapped behind him almost getting him...

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

I think the threaded receiver extension on the front will be the weak link for the hand guard/receiver interface. If strength is your priority, you need to be looking at forged receivers, preferably 7000 series vs. 6000 series aluminum. Or go all out and get a titanium upper or complete receiver set...

Re: a Price For Every Head

Thanks for the update... Nice developments. Concur with others re: the need for more plot development; doesn’t need much, just enough to help transition between “scenes” in your tale. Back story would help a lot too. Only typos I saw were a couple quite vs. quiet and you vs. you’re typed errors. Gre...

Re: Has any decent zombie flicks came out lately?

Not a movie, but just watched a mini-series called black summer (think that was the name anyway) on Netflix...it was OK. Not quite as bad as Walking Dead or that other zombie show I stopped watching (zombie nation?) because I got tired of saying “people this stupid wouldn't survive” one too many tim...
