Pretty rapid onset/death... Next questions are when, if, and how do they turn?

Thanks for the tasty morsels of moar!

Re: Sunburn COMMENT Thread

Very cool... Now I have to start some research of my own to build a better framework for the mental pictures I'm already painting.

What a great twist, and dare I say theory of our own history.

Really looking forward to moar now!

Re: Sunburn COMMENT Thread

Well, there’s your problem... A TacAir story needs to be At least an order of magnitude longer!

Going that far into the future will be very interesting... A Canticle for Leibowitz-like timeframe for the follow-on installments perhaps?

Nice! Great to see your work again! Quite a few typos, and the transitions between “scenes” so far seem a little abrupt/herky-jerky, but the tale and character development is first rate...great dialogue too. Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

The custom PSA lowers aren't just a lasered logo, it's stamped into the lower same as the serial number, which is also custom, so you could get, for example, serial numbers starting with ZS. ZS0001, ZS0002, etc. You can also get custom text for the safety like on the Virginia model here: https://pa...

Re: Sig M17 or M18?

Well, that may have been a mistake... Went by the gun counter at the Randolph AFB BX, and they had a 320 as well as a XFive Legion. The 320 was about as expected...Glockish, but the trigger wasn’t quite as nice. Then I handled the X5. Damn... Very heavy compared to the 320...honestly, it felt like a...

Re: Sig M17 or M18?

Thanks all... That video was actually a lot more informative than I expected. Loved my Berettas (still get daily emails from them LOL), and frankly probably have more trigger time on the M9 (all on the range..I’m not one of the cool kids, but I did get to shoot with them on occasion) than all my oth...

Re: Japanese Red (Ongoing)

Nice... The only recommendations I have is to change the line re: mechanics bills to “repair” bills...mechanics and mechanics in the same line is slightly awkward. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ycu434kkk14 And maybe tie the two chapters together a bit better by showing her trailing off her dialogue...

Re: Sig M17 or M18?

I’m with you on Glock ergos...not a fan, unless it’s tiny like my G42 and G43. My G21 shot like a dream, but I literally hated to use it because it felt like a chunk of 2x4 lumber in my paws. Downside of growing up on 1911s and Beretta 92s I suppose. Much better after a lot of frame work...actually ...

Sig M17 or M18?

...or just stick with Glock? A close family friend (single mom) with zero firearm experience is interested in learning to shoot, and wants her teenage daughter to learn as well. Side note: the daughter has a full-ride AF ROTC scholarship, and plans to join the AFOSI upon graduation from college. I’l...

Re: Mom's Journal of the Zombie Years

This has always been my favorite Zombie fiction story (on or off ZS), and I now live about an hour south of where the story takes place. If you had told me ten years ago that I would live in SW Florida and be holed up in my house with my family because of a virus, I'd have said you were nuts, but h...

Not sure how it's cheaper to buy Lancer mags ($19ea) and paint or Cerakote them when you can often get Magpul mags for under $10 but okay.

Re: Firearms Chat: Yeet Cannon 2 Electric Boogaloo

It might make the polymer or whatever Magpul uses weak, but I'm sure they'd come up with a reinforced version to handle it. As for clear AK mags, only ones I've found are some Bulgarian mags, but I haven't seen any for sale in at least a few years. They were closer to a sort of smoke or frosted col...

Re: War of the Worlds - 2020 Epix Series

I’m thinking some sort of miniaturized rail gun for the projectile launcher...hyper-velocity “bullet” won’t be too effected by gravity, wind, etc. over the distances they’re shooting. And yeah, creepy as hell...would like to see the “dogs” more in fast mode to get a better feel for how worried I sho...

Re: War of the Worlds - 2020 Epix Series

Just binge watched it over a few days... Really enjoyed it! Mind trip for sure, and no idea what the dude in the tank means. Was really (fearfully) expecting to see a vivisectioned baby getting put into one of the “dogs”... happy it took a weird twist! Wasn’t expecting this to be more than a single-...
