Re: What Did You Do Today To Prepare?

Like many here (I hope anyway), picked up another couple boxes of disposable N95 masks to keep in the vehicle kits.

Also picked up a cheap hooded tyvek suit for every family member that compresses down to ~ 6”x6” to throw in each vehicle too. Not a bio suit by any means, but cheap insurance.

Re: What is the best/most durable pair of boots/shoes you have RIGHT NOW...

Best, most durable pair I’ve ever owned are a pair of Danner “winter” boots I had issued just before I started flying the “ice” missions down to Antarctica (based out of Christchurch, NZ) back in the early 90s. I wound up wearing those pretty much continuously throughout my career until we switched ...

I almost never get a second shot off while hunting deer... I’d consider the H&R handi-rifle in 300BLK

Finally got around to ordering a 450 Bushmaster barrel and two bolts for an upper I’ve had ready for this round (opened up ejection port, etc.) for more than a year: https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-fWHjC45/0/f6e22399/XL/i-fWHjC45-XL.jpg https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-KGMhBDg/0/4174b8c1/XL/i...

Yes, a couple months back... Not comfortable discussing without his express consent, but he’s focused on the right priorities right now.

Man, you're giving me the itch to build a pistol. Maybe in Stealth Gray, which I rather like. I don't need to build an AR pistol. I have no need of an AR pistol. I do need to save money. I'm probably going to end up building a damned AR pistol. It’s addictive... for sure! Come over to ...

One step closer... After losing not one, but two of those fiddly little e-clips that retain the ejection port door rod in place, I said screw it and just ordered one of those snap-in versions from Pri Arms: https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-MvcwgfB/0/1ad0e0c1/XL/i-MvcwgfB-XL.jpg One of these: http...

I think I'm going to be at Ikea in Houston this weekend. I have a spare trigger if you want it, and we can manage a meet up. Alternatively, I really like MBT-2s from LaRue, I think they're $80. Re: Oy vey, yet another build. Trunk gun...needs a name.

What to name, what to name? Helping Hand? Smoking Boot(s)? Packing Something? 127-GBH? Clearly there is a theme here, I wonder what it is? Hmmm.. maybe “Puss” as in Puss in Boot(s), since it’ll live in the boot (well, actually under or behind the back seat of my truck) most of its life. “Not a” (pr...
