Re: Attachment hardware for military webbing?

Don't mean to intrude but thanks for the info on the d rings. I just didn't want to rely on something and be S.O.L if it broke. Good to know the CAN bear some weight I'll be using them for more than itsy bitsy items in the future!

Re: Attachment hardware for military webbing?

I've got a few of those grimlock d rings and I'm not sure if I'd use them for anything with any weight behind it lol. First thing that comes to mind is a cinch strap, or make your own with male/female buckles and a little bit of nylon strap?

Re: OK, please school me on fishing

He is "talking" to people[/size] This is just what meant though...... He is talking to people.... I was only saying he needs to talk to people actually fishing, where he's at, at the moment lol. The best tips come from the people catching or not catching in that place at that time. I've always been...

Re: OK, please school me on fishing

Checking back on this and reading though other posts I realized the whole "talk to people" thing might not be as clear as we all mean it.... You are talking to people right? Why isn't it helping? My apologies if you got the gist and I may be about to sound TO-THE-POINT, or rude but hell a little def...

Re: OK, please school me on fishing

Honestly there are so many different techniques and theories when it comes to fisherman and their ways it's worse than talking trucks and beer lol. Being an avid fisherman the best advice you can get comes from the guy standing next to you on the bank! Get some gear, go out and make friends! Most fi...

Seattle area on the ball?

Sitting in my robe drinking coffee this morning I pay a little more attention to a commercial I've been seeing quite often lately. Im not going to lie, I usually half roll my eyes when I see it. Im an animal lover and have always had pets, but this is basically a "PET PREPPING" commercial that looks...

Alright now that the mods have put down the hammer (which is their job I'm not criticizing) lets get this back on track. I was very interested when I read this title and plan on checking back on it every day! A homemade parameter security device. In it's original state it already had many scenario u...

Only because she thinks my prepping and survival obsession is, "cute but not realistic" I know she will never read this so I can say the beautiful woman who met a guy on a very self destructive path and delt with all his crap ( still dealing with yet in smaller doses) saved my life, and by being her...

I keep a makita lithium sawzaw and impact drill with 4 batteries in my 4runner in my "just incase" container and have used both quite often, the recip saw more so. As for the previous post, I have tried many cordless circular saws and they all perform best as a boat anchor! Reciprocating saws on the...

Re: Automatic opening knife advice

I would say jump on the Benchmade bandwagon, they have multiple options on blade styles, locking mechanisms and sizes to tempt your desires. Most models I own, two of which are rotated as my edc and would be happy to review any styles that might grab your interest. I put em through hell!

The box of wire, appears to be a "flat" type of wire(my eyes, small screen, could very well be wrong) usually used for phone and data, looks to me like some one got lazy while adding a phone jack! No real problem. The panel on the other hand, sitting two feet away from the toilet looks to be somethin...

Well thanks a lot ya shits, I took your advice, went out and picked up a couple pair of carhartt boot socks (acrylic/merino blend) and gave them a shot. Picked those because I found them on sale for 6.99. After a week of swapping between mid-weight and heavy-weight found mid was a more ideal wear an...

I've looked at a lot of these and it looks legit.... Price is about standard, on the lower end. I've seen people trying to sell the same pack for over $100 ...used.

Stick with benchmade, this guy sounds like your best option! I have the "auto" version in my EDC rotation and love it! It's in your budget at $175msrp but a quick google search shows you can grab one for much cheaper. It also comes in a lighter Noryl handle, though I'm a fan of a heavier aluminum as...
