Re: What is your faviorite Defensive Pistol Caliber

It has been awhile since I have been here on the forums. My EDC Handgun is a Walther PPS M2 9mm 8+1 round mag with Trijicon HD Night Sights carried in a Stealthgear Scorpion Holster and my Self Defense ammo of choice now-a-days is Federal 124gr HST Standard Pressure. Sometimes Lehigh Defense Xtreme ...

Re: Tavor or Steyr AUG

I've always wanted an AUG simply because of Die Hard, but the Microtech MSAR would be a decent replacement I think (haven't checked any reviews of it though). The earlier models were plagued with feeding issues. They are about $500 less than the AUG A3 M1 and still a very decent rifle for the money.

Re: Stuck between G43/XDS/Shield 9mm

Walther just released the Walther PPS M2. I fondled one at a local Gun Shop last week and it is sweet! Single stack 9mm with great grip texture like on the PPQ with an excellent trigger break and short reset. I will be getting one sometime this Summer. Walther firearms are still overlooked by so man...

Re: Tavor or Steyr AUG

One of the advantages of both the AUG and Tavor I have never heard discussed: Both can be shot with mittens! Never mattered to me before, but now I have real winters and it is suddenly a very attractive feature. This I actually did consider when I bought my AUG, Walther PPQ, and PS90 as I live in M...

Re: Pistol Carbine for BOB

Our FNH PS90 can breakdown in seconds and be stored inside of my wife's BOB. Also four 50 round loaded mags for it and a extra 100 rounds weigh practically nothing. Yeah it is a 5.7x28mm and very uncommon but it is still considered a pistol caliber as well because of the Five Seven Pistol. Our Styer...

Re: What have you bought in the last 48 hours?(firearms rela

A Trijicon MRO Red Dot Optic with low mount for my FNH PS90.

It is built like a tank, being able to withstand a wicked beating and still hold zero, is waterproof down to 30 meters (100ft), has a 2 MOA Red Dot, and battery life is 5 years of continuous use (Left ON) on brightness setting 3!

Re: Tavor or Steyr AUG

I have a Steyr AUG A3 M1 in OD Green with High Pic rail and love it. The IWI is a fantastic rifle as well. You can't go wrong with either IMO. Another great little bullpup is the FNH PS90. I just purchased mine a week ago and have no regrets. With 50 round capacity (5.7x28mm), extreme accuracy and r...

Re: First post have mercy :) Which Handgun?

The HK P30 is very nice. I would have highly recommend the HK VP9 or Walther PPQ over the HK P30 however as they have a much better trigger (Striker-fired). Although you stated that you got the LEM trigger which is better than the standard SA/DA trigger on most P30's. The only downside of getting a ...

Yes, I'm talking about mags.
