Re: SPEC OPs Sale

spec ops has constant sales. I have spent over $700 on their items, not one of them at full price. SOB gear is awesome. great quality but without the custom tac gear prices. I love their over armor vest. Grab them while you can at 79.95.

Check their blow-out section. you wont be disappointed.

Re: The case for having more than 1 knife.

I roll with a Benchmade Nimravus, with a Benchmade strap cutter connected with a Malice clip on it, on the shoulder of my MOLLE vest. I will have a CRKT M-16 Tanto Folding knife in another pouch on my BattleBelt.

Re: Range bag/ ammo bag

Nobody is going to fuck with me with my AK on my back (legally) walking to wherever (legal!) Gosh I love VA laws. and a plastic .50 cal a...

My Safariland 6004 holster shipped today. I like the bail and the sturdy safariland platform. I dislike the Serpa.

Do you guys remember in Jericho, the TV show (may it RIP) that a salt mine was referenced more than once? They used it as a form of currency. IIRC

And please elaborate more about the freezer test. I can understand the gist of it by name alone. Thank you

Re: Ok guys... BOB project for my brother in Africa!

I have been to Ghana on both of my last 2 deployments. It is hot, there are lots of bugs, and just overall humid.

Please do not forget body powder/gold bond/buttpaste. Chafing is rampant because its so freaking hot.

This is a good post.

I have the advantage of being able to show up to work in my SHTF gear and only a couple people ask what I am doing. 8-)

If you are looking for firearm parts, check out vaguntrader.com There is always many things going back and forth on there.

Otherwise, my wife OK'ed my AK purchase post-deployment. Now I have to find a place that stocks it, which is proving very difficult.

I have seen and read about the Emdom dump pouch, and was impressed by the innovativeness of it. But I still use a SDS Mil-surp one, and another one I cannot think of right now.

Re: magazine retension recomendations

I have 2 dump pouches for my magazines. I do not setup fighting gear to have it a "1 time use" thing. I mostly prepare for SHTF (the only reason I would actually gear up and head out the door for real.) I have more ammo than I have magazines for. If I am an idiot and drop a magazine and leave it beh...

Re: help with shotgun pouches

Those inserts arent made with their main characteristic as rigidity. Their main use is to be put inside mag pouches to enhance the utility of your Mag pouches. Shotgun bandoleers are not rigid, and they work just fine. But by the look of them, they are rigid enough. BTW, OSOE makes AWESOME GEAR. do ...

Due to the military, I love CLP My motto when oiling the M2HB and M240 is this "you can never have too much CLP" I dont give a shit about having a harder time to clean. I know the gun will work when its drenched in the stuff. My glock and Maverick is liberally lubed. I have, however, bought bore foa...
