Re: What are YOU currently lusting after? (firearms related)

^^that. The beat to shit M16A2's I was issued in boot camp, MCT and the fleet were iffy, some worked fine some didn't. Age, untold thousands of rounds, harsh cleaning, and no real periodic maintenance will do that. The brand-new M16A4 I was issued in Iraq was flawless, as were the newish M4's we us...

Re: Is it Ok to like Taurus yet?

My main hangup with even current-gen Taurus models remains the trigger pull, which appears to start at Taurus HQ in Miami and feels like it ends about a half-inch into the frame. Physically impossible, but it feels that way. Which is an opinion based on preference. That is just like all the people ...

It is extremely simple, no ECU controlling anything. Not much of a BOV but then again I have nowhere to go. All of my family lives in Utah/I...

Re: Is it Ok to like Taurus yet?

I cant speak about hondas place on the list of reliability. But hondas are much more reliable then acuras In what way? Considering they share almost every motor, I would say the only way an Acura would probably be less reliable than a Honda is because they have more electronics/luxury items to brea...

A Glock 19 Gen 4 in FDE (my full size Taurus is too big to carry), Ruger 22/45 Lite and a 10/22 (Both so I can teach my wife basic firearm fundamentals, starting her off on my .45 ACP is probably a bad idea. ) I am also asking for a few parts to start my AR build for xmas. I figure if I alread...

Re: EDC bag made in USA?

First, we should really be asking the question of what you plan to EDC. Just a pistol and minimal essentials? A pistol, a half dozen mags, two nalgenes, clothing? That'd be a different bag. Some people dislike 5.11 Tactical, but they are one of my favorite clothing companies, and I've had really go...

Re: Budget Cuts: Taurus 24/7 Pro DS 9mm

Glad you like it, but no way in hell will anything Taurus EVER beat anything HK.Maybe try a Glock 21 if you're trying to dethrone your HK. Why do you say that? Is this from experience with the 24/7 or just purely the standard Taurus hatred everyone seems to have? I love my PT-845. I like shooting i...

Re: Minneapolis Mn area

We already ran into problems with certain members so we felt it best not to publicly announce every meeting. We had a good core group going and now there is just two of us left. Two members had to leave for personal reasons but will eventually be back and two more moved out of state...

Re: Budget Cuts: Taurus 24/7 Pro DS 9mm

It seems to mostly be the luck of the draw. I have a PT-845 which is very similar to the 24/7 except it has an external hammer/not striker fired and I only had one issue out of the box. One of my magazines wasn't locking the slide to the rear when empty. I tweaked it a bit and it works fine now. I o...

Re: Minneapolis Mn area

I got the feeling noone but me and Kbilly were down to meet this weekend. I think the location doesnt matter as much as finding a time everyone can meet. I know our first meeting we had folks come up from way the middle of nowhere Wisconsin. And we had 4 meetings since then and they never came back...

Re: Minneapolis Mn area

I won't have time to make a meeting this weekend. What kind of places are people open to? If you want to keep it to Panera, there a a bunch of locations in South Minneapolis, one that I know of in Edina, and from there they tend to get pretty close to my neck of the woods (Eagan, Apple Valley, and B...

For me it is location as well. Mostly just because I hate the mall and how ridiculously busy it already is in Panera by 11am. Also the drive from Farmington is a bit of a hike.

Re: Minneapolis Mn area

We should move to a less busy location. The few meetings we had after the panera one was at a few different davannis locations. It was nice because getting there when they opened, we were the only ones. So that way we don't get do deal with the looks from all the hipster college kids.

Re: Are We Building BOBs Wrong?

Being able to live in the woods is fine but if you have to leave your house RIGHT NOW, with only the clothes on your back and one bag, will your family still be able to attend work/school as normal while the pieces are put back together? Where I live, there aren't many disasters that I face where I...

5.11 tactical MOAB 10. Concealed carry pocket. Attaches to the back of the larger Rush packs. Sent via SKYNET. This is my EDC. It should hold a 12" laptop just fine. I bought a water bottle pouch for my nalgene and the 5.11 FAK pouch (though I have yet to add a FAK to my EDC). For your needs, it wo...

Re: Let's give the judges more problems, SPRING MBO!!!

A thought I had and sorry if this has been brought up in the past, but what if we did a requirement for anyone using vehicles to drive to a BOL, can only go say half way to their location and then have to give up the vehicle to simulate unforeseen possible break downs or road blocks and anything. I ...
