Re: AR15 Pistol Build HELP!!!!

I've bought two PSA Freedom nitrided pistol uppers, an 8.5" and 10.5". They work just fine. Steel case Tula and all. Surprised nobody has said this, really all you need to get an AR pistol to run is a properly weighted buffer and a 5 coil extractor spring. This is my third and no problems from any o...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

Speaking of price jumps, anyone check prices on Cheaper Than Dirt's site yet ? If it's anyone that's going to drive up prices to take advantage of a panic, it's those guys. Still home of the $600 Delton. http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/GUN-016 See, I have no idea if that's a good price or no...

I got a bunch of Troy mags for $6/ea awhile back. They feed fine but don't lock the bolt in my guns. They're also approx the same dimension as GI and fit in ALICE pouches if that matters to you.

a bunch of useful stuff.. . Well, I loaned him a MOE stock and one of my old buffer tubes. That fixed the BHO issue. Or he identified his error and it's embarrassing enough he didn't tell me. But I'm guessing the real takeaway from this is "Don't buy shit with 'Blackhawk!' on the box" :?: How'd a b...

Re: Concealed Carry: BUGs vs Mags

I carry one gun and one reload whether carrying revolver or auto. Anything more feels excessive to me, though I like the idea in theory and sometimes do carry several mags I dislike the bulk of the additional reload. Never seriously considered carrying a BUG. Really dislike conceal carrying full siz...

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

The finish on Sigs suck, IMO. My 229R was wearing on the barrel so badly I just took some Flitz and polished it til it was stainless. Other than that they're phenomenal guns. Would you mind posting a pic of the chip on the Ares bolt? I got an AIM NiB BCG that's holding up well so far in an 8.5" pist...

Re: Attaching a Pistol to a Pistol

Went into a well established pawn shop not long ago, and they had one of those Zip guns attached to a cheap AR. Counter Guy and the owner refused to believe me that it was an unregistered SBR because you can buy the mount online.... I went to a local pawn shop, they already don't know a bolt carrie...

Re: The Pirate: Ar chambered in 5.45x39

Email Magpul and say the mag was disassembled on your truck bed and the follower fell off and was run over. I only suggest lying because one time I ruined a windowed Pmag by melting the window while oven curing a paint job. They told me to piss off, basically. I smashed out the window with a screwdr...

Re: The Pirate: Ar chambered in 5.45x39

He says in his description and in the comments it only works with windowed versions of the MOE magazine. Mrgunsgear is my go-to YouTube channel, he really knows his stuff.

Sucks about your mag, though. I've also heard the EMags work in 5.45 guns. 44mag.com has em.

Re: Firearms Chat 3: #pewpewlife

They do, not disagreeing there. But how many cycles does it take to wear out a quality magazine? I have zero way of quantifying this, but I'd bet that I could use the same 6 Pmags for the rest of my shooting days and not wear them all out. Again, not disagreeing, and I myself have around 60, but IMO...

I got to try a few went I went home to Seattle this past week- -Pyramid IPA: Meh, at best. Just seemed kind of watered down to me. -Saison, Amber, IPA, porter, Pale Ale, and Red ale, all from Scuttlebutt brewing in Everett, WA. Saison, Amber, and Red were all fantastic. IPA was a little light on th...

Re: New Army camo pattern. (Spoiler Alert! - It's multicam.)

My understanding is that scorpion was developed by Crye for the Army during the trials in which UCP digital was chosen. After this Crye developed Multicam and marketed it commercially. After UCP flopped the Army switched to genuine Multicam for use in Afghan. Now the Army is going forward using the ...

Well, I just put an extended mag release on my AK. It makes mag changes a lot quicker and I hope the sucker is on my gun tight enough otherwise I'll have to loctite the sucker on there. You're probably going to want to blue Loctite it either way, man. I've never had good luck bolting parts on guns ...

Welcome to the boards, man. I carry and shoot my S&W M64 3" HB round butt in stainless steel all the time. Since beginning reloading in February I've already put 1200 reloads through the gun. Once you get proficient with that DA trigger you can really put some lead downrange quickly.

Re: All purpose "Help me build my AR" thread.

I am giddily waiting for a Silencerco Omega to become mine officially. I first plan to use it on my 11.5" Spike's AR-15. Spike's uses a heavier buffer but I have heard (Mostly from fans of BCM) that the Spike's buffer leaves a lot to be desired. With any certainty, can anyone say for sure if I will...
