Re: Looking for a pocket spotlight

I'd go with a fenix tk series. I've been using a tk22 for years. They're stupid bright and they use 18650 rechargeable batteries which can be easily found at any vape shop.

I'm pretty sure you just made up those myths. That being said, the video was completely awesome and I loved the Orc Sword. Now we know why the Urukhai had shitty molded steel weapons to go against the elven katana things.

http://www.chromeindustries.com/citizen-messenger-bag I've had one of these for 2 years for my EDC and it still looks new. It's kinda nifty you can even customize the colors (although I just made everything black). It's made with solid materials and it has a beltbuckle type clip in the middle for ea...

Looks good. I just ditched my kukhri that I was stubbornly holding onto in my BoB. It may make it's way back in. They're just too tacticool to not have. I suggest checking out this https://www.zombiehunters.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=23901 and pimping out your FAK. It's always what I suggest fri...

Well, then maybe you need to think about switching what gear is in what? Just have easy no fire stuff in assault pack and keep it in the main bag. What's the full list on both bags?

Re: NatGeo printable topo maps are now free

If your AO isn't in the USA it probably won't work. They're USGS topo maps. Alternatively it could be part of the .5% they haven't done or you aren't in the lower 48. They may not have them for you.

Edited .05 to .5 for correct number.

These videos are really cool, but he needs to start writing a script and cutting down his video lengths. They're really repetitive and he tends to drone on for far longer than needed. Most of these 8-20 minute videos could be about 5 minutes long.

^ Nice video about tuning your arrows You want to start with something that has a bit of a weak spine so you can cut it down to make it right. You can't do much with a heavy spine except put heavier points on it. Here's a good chart for ...

Re: How much Zippo equals how many Bics?

Get a butane insert for a zippo. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008Z8W6BA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Problem solved. I found it doesn't hold as much fluid as a bic. Bic's will last for months whereas the zippo needs to be refilled like every week, but it still lasted longer than...

Re: Critique echo83's Get Home Bag

I'm necroing this thread a bit, but I just wanted to add my thoughts real quick. I use Millennium bars in my GHB. They taste pretty good and they're 400 calories a piece. Throw like 6-8 of them to use as your only food and it's good for a few days of food. I sorta crossed my GHB with a 36 hour bag. ...

Re: Affordable pouch or bag for car kit?

It's not exactly cheap, but I love this one. You can see how I loaded it out here.

It fits quite a bit and has the best organization I could find. It's not gonna do anything special to hold up against the heat. I just have a bag I take in and out of the car every day that I keep it in.

Any particular reason you're stuck on a balaclava? I've had a lot better luck with a keffiyeh/shemagh. They're more multi-purpose and they're quite warm.

I like these better personally. They're like half the price and they're silicone and will break if they get caught on something.

Re: Please help me with my EDC FAK

Does it have to be a sterile triangular bandage? I have a non-sterile over in there. It looked like I could just ace bandage around the sam splint and if needed triangle bandage to immobilize. I also have a shemaugh in my edc bag proper. The scalpels are probably the least on point thing in there. I...

As stated earlier I'm a delivery driver. There are a fair number of shootings especially after midnight (we're open until 2 or 3 am). This happened literally 2 minutes from my store. I was out delivering that night. All other 5 shooting deaths this year (listed at the bottom of the article) happened...

I took the pictures before I threw in a n95 mask. I had 2 in my GHB in the trunk and I moved one into that kit and left the other. No clue how to use a NPA so I left that alone. I definitely need to get some OTC meds in there. I want individually packaged ones so that I don't have to keep big bottle...

Re: Please help me with my EDC FAK

How exactly is this a hodge podge? I'm a delivery driver and drive 100 miles a day. Car accidents can cause severe lacerations and breaks. My kit covers both of those. Plus it's an edc so i have the basic Band-Aids and stuff you need to use in the food industry when you have open wounds.
